A few goal moth scrambles but hardly a stream of chances like Burnley or Cardiff home games. In saying that we were by far the better side.

You could say hardly a caterpillar of chances. But we eventually flew into the light

Difficult to summarise that really. Another fantastic win away from home in a match that we largely controlled and dominated, yet for large periods I still felt incredibly frustrated.

That we finally played a striker up front and Wilf on the wing was absolutely rewarded with the striker scoring and Wilf winning a penalty with the sort of surging run into the box that we've been missing of late.

However, I still find it bewildering how late he leaves those substitutions. We've played 4 games in 12 days, largely with the same group of players and only made 6 combined substitutions which came in the 63rd, 69th, 78th, 88th (x2) and 95th minutes. So that's what, 65 total minutes of game time to the subs? Not sure what message that sends out to the rest of the squad and surely will only increase the chances of injury to the core players.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold...

What a fantastic result.
Hodgson pilloried after the last match will now be lauded !
I have been grinning like a Colgate toothpaste model - absolutely delighted and a tad surprised !

Corners are hugely over hyped, the return is painfully low for the majority of teams in fact they probably statistically help the other team more when they win back Possession and break out ..so booting the ball into any box from a corner can be very silly...especially if it's us doing it.

My point and it's a recurring theme, is that our corners are poor - period - if they were better we'd improve our stats.

Why can’t we do the business at home ffs? How the hell did that Wolves side beat Spurs?

How the hell did Wolves beat us at home, they looked gash tonight?

Anyone feel free to answer, as I have given up on predicting Palace games/ results... 🤔

Just got home and totally confounded by this result.
We weren't really better than Wolves, they were just worse than us. I thought a number of the players were below par.
Ayew should have even been on the pitch when he scored as he should have been subbed at least 10 minutes beforehand! He was wandering around with a limp - why Roy didn't sub him earlier is beyond me.
And then we win 2-0 - totally bizarre but I am very happy with the 3 points.
