I ave recorded the game on SKY but I certainly will NOT be putting myself through that turgid and abject display again.Total and utter hogwash.

Does anyone agree that it might be the manager at fault and not the players? Has Roy had his day? Six of one and half a dozen of the other. A manager can be an easy go to for blame though. We don't have the quality of some top tier sides and on occasion it shows.

Add in Liverpool and Tottenham, and that's 7 out of 10 games this season when we've failed to score at home. Dire. We've been on the defensive side but not without reason. There's definitely a case to be made for saying we've become too negative though. We've got to show a bit of passion at home I agree.

Given the success against Man C I can understand us going with the same plan. What was baffling was the lack of pressing especially against Jorginho. Perhaps it was fear of Hazard but other teams have had success closing Jorginho down early as he is their fulcrum. Positives were Wan-Bissaka and seeing Wickham get on. Jimmy Mac is a machine. Tompkins looked good too.

In the cold light of day though disappointed Roy did just about give us a chance of nicking something which was about all we could realistically expect .
Wickham keeps his shot down at the end , breaks the back of the net and Roy is hailed as a master tactician in winning us a point and the previous hour and a half of negativity is reflected on as keeping us in the game . Fine margins , one we fell short of on this occasion .

Roy's approach to the Chelsea game was p1ss poor. Every minute we spent defending them in our defensive third was a bonus minute for them. Every minute we spetd attacking their goal in their defensive third was a minute our defenders could recoup from, and it f--ked with their heads, and whenwe started playing like that in the final 10 minutes we looked liked scoring too, and with more time, adrenalin and the selhurst crowd we could quite have reasonably scored. 1 chance and zero shots on target FFS, Roy, what were you thinking? Don't come your England manager sh1t here please. His approach meant losing our 12th player - the Selhurst fans. Idiotic. Gave them too much respect. Any top six team would be sh1tting themselves coming to SP. A gross piece of mis-coaching.

Initially I thought the team made sense, with Meyer dropped after a very disappointing miss v Cardiff and I thought it was tough on Schlupp he was dropped after his display against The Oilers. In Roy we trust and all that. But like many others I couldn’t get my head around our tactics yesterday. Chelsea are not a great team right now. And the last 10 minutes showed that. What a shame that we didn’t have a go earlier. A draw would have been a result but once we went behind it seemed Roy was playing for goal difference! P!ss poor!

Ten home matches this season and not a single goal from inside the area. While commenting, gotta say that I am hoarse from berating Kouyate. Wtf did he actually do today? I think I broke more of a sweat than he did. I think the penalty spot is usually inside the area :-)

Jimmy Mac has a great work rate, but he is not notably creative. He seldom seems to stamp his personality on a match. I’m inclined to think it might be time for a Jason Puncheon recall. Is it pointless to inquire about Johnny Williams? Is he out on loan? We need a bit of spark. Correction: a lot of spark. Edited by merganser (30 Dec 2018 9.25pm) Personally wouldn't even have him on the bench, brings nothing to the team and certainly is not creative IMO

Agree he should have hit the target but if you drop every player who has had a disappointing miss, we would be able to field 11 players
