It's all just getting boring and repetitive now.

Hodgson starts the same XI every match so the opposition know exactly what's coming and can prepare for it easily. Never makes a sub until it's too late to save the game.

For all the moaning about our lack of options, none of them ever get a chance. Sorloth gets slated on here but he's barely had a sniff. He's made 15 appearances for us in the league from a possible 29 games but only played 521 minutes. So on average he gets half an hour every second game to impress and people wonder why he looks short of confidence and form when he does play!

Roy continues to persevere with this Zaha and Townsend up front idea despite it very obviously removing all our width and nullifying any aerial threat that we might have.

He'll say after the game that you can't legislate for wonder goals but the brutal reality is that we've been comprehensively outplayed in consecutive games by teams that we should be aiming to beat. Even our dominance over Burnley was tainted for me by our utter lack of a cutting edge.

Ultimately in this league if you rest on your laurels and don't continue to invest then you get left behind and that appears to be what's happened, with Roy already hinting that there's no money for January, with us seemingly content to regurgitate the fact that we spent money 2 years ago.

havd to agree. Our main weapons are wingers, wilf and andros, so you havd to play them in their best positions. So give Sorloth a run In the team, even if he's s**t most of the time at least he's a target man and allows wilf to play wide. Nothing to loose....

You do wonder whether a change is needed come January. Whether Zaha needs to go to free up funds for the team or whether a new set of ideas of management is required.

We may scrape survival this season, but something needs to change.

Yet another glorious defeat and thanks to Arsenal and Man U beating two of our relegation rivals,we just keep out of the bottom three, although too close for comfort with Burnley managing to beat an 11 man Brighton team, again beyond us last Tuesday.
Cardiff beginning to find some good results and that particular upcoming game is certainly a 6 pointer.

At least 4 of his bookings have been for effectively retaliating after not getting a decision. He really is brainless.

That's never been in dispute. Not performing now, obviously doesn't want to be there, sell him in Jan.

Got punished for 2 lapses of concentration. Someone should have gone with chicorito from thd freekick, and someone should have been closer to Anderson. Sadly in both cases I think it was AWB. Apart from that I thought we defended well and scored a couple. WH didn't have that many chances but have the players to take them. How many goals do you think chicorito would score in our side....

AWB nowhere to be seen, Anderson had bags of time to line up his shot.

Absolutely, playing our best player out of position is madness and must stop. Get them back out wide and give one of the strikers a genuine chance, you never know with a run of games one of them might actually come good. It certainly can’t get any worse than it is at the moment.

He doesn't have many options when it comes to changing players and the 11 he always starts must be what he sees is best for the system he plays.

He did do changes early today but like I said before if you want to play a system and 11 players only fit that switching out those players for some one who can not do that isn't really going to work.

So it comes down to he needs to be more flexible with the system or have multi ones but he is not going to do this he likes to play two ways only the Zaha/Towsend up top one or 1 other striker.

I agree regarding Sorloth but I have watched lot of him he's not up to the standard he doesn't want to engage in play he looks very weak in the air like hes scared to use muscle (I think hes like Wickham a soft player who would do very well in non physical league)

Roy inside wont be happy about what is going on but he is a Pro that is respectful otherwise he would of done like other former managers walked but he's not that type of guy.

The money thing is really bad and just shows SP doesn't want to spend he is happy to take out of the club but wont spend his own £ which is what you have to do and the Americans you can understand they came into the club as investment only for things like the ground this is another area SP screwed up on.

I expect come Jan we will go for some really cheap options again at last minute if we do reverse then come summer we wont spend anything blaming the Jan spend (if we sell some players in summer for big then we may buy some other players)

At the end of the day how do you sign good people and get best out of players if person running the club is not even setting up the proper system regarding coaches and scouting (remember the signings that have worked out was ones recommended by former managers not the scouting or SP the ones by them have all flopped)

Just absorbing my thoughts on the game. Unlike Brighton we were not outplayed in either half. Wan Bissaka clearly needs a rest. Schlupp came on and we looked more solid. Clearly we need Benteke back because the change of style does seem to leave us more open. We also need someone who the players feel can score. Meyer is an interesting player he is part of our more open play and needs time on the ball but does get caught and is not working hard enough out of possession.
We seem to have more of the play but are less effective with the ball. After Brighton I thought we would look to go more solid but we still cannot mixed it up and hit it long like we did last year. Our game has many others have said has become too slow and predictable. It is also very narrow.
Another defeat but I am not feeling as bad as after the Brighton game.

On the plus side we have scored 5 in the last 3 games, and only one a pen.

Sadly this club has become the "cult of Wilf" where he is expected to save every situation and every game. Not possible, it's a team game and the sooner we get back to that the better.

Spot on... I've said it for a while but we are in our 6th Premiership season and we rely solely on one player... It's just not good enough.

Of course I content him to leave but in my opinion, sell him for a big fee, invest some in new players and start building an actual 'team'... Not just a star and 10 other players.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

One major worry over quite a few is we look really jaded in matches coming into the busy Xmas period. Players have been asked to play full matches due to the lack of subs might be a factor. Couple this with a lack of confidence and the Xmas period looks harsh. If we continue come Boxing Day Roy will be under immense pressure and may be chucked out with the turkey scraps. Warnock may well have more points then and he was relieved of duties. Just looked and we play Warnock on Boxing Day and could be the nail in the coffin like Soton for him. Roy would buck the trend if he remained with so little on the board. In relation to selling Wilf in Xmas think Swansea.
