So not because we don't have a proper striker then?

Ayew has been relegated twice. Does that tell you anything?
Sorloth failed the last time he tried a higher level. We still signed him.
Benteke has been useless and shows no sign of improvement.
Which part of that suggests that Roy is to blame?

I'd say it's as clear as day that we didn't spend enough and secure a proper Premier League level striker.

So you are saying this is down to Parish and not RH.

im sure your smart enough to realise what happens when football clubs continually spend anove their means? right?

I also know what happens when you don't spend. Relegation costing 100 million a season plus losing all your best players which probably takes a decade to recover from.

I wasn't there today so watched a feed.
Think I am very worried now. We are too one dimensional in our approach and just cannot break teams down when they sit back.
It is nothing new and we have been guilty of it for a long time but never seem to learn our lessons.
Our defence to me is fine albeit that PVA and Wan weren't passing too well today.
Luka is solid but not having his best run of form and Wilf is Wilf.
After that we have either sub standard players for this level of football or they are not being directed properly.
Jmac is fine but he only does limited stuff - he is never going to change a game.
Townsend is dreadful in my opinion. He can't do what his job description says and he can't tackle, run back and help or head the ball - he is a complete waste of a shirt nowadays.
Schlupp is not much better. Ayew should be back at Swansea.
Benteke we all know about - a £30m striker who can't score.
Sorloth is barely good enough for league one.
Kouyate - I can't comment as I haven't seen enough of him.
We have been in the prem for a lot of years now but we don't improve.
Nothing changes - we just go from one disaster to another.
Other teams have a style, a way to play and they get better - we don't.
Why - No idea but we have a massive problem and I don't see a way out.

Today was f***ing miserable. With the line-up, I can only imagine Roy thought that Wolves would try to dominate possession and we could counter on them. Instead Wolves copied Newcastle and did f*** all, and as usual we looked totally lost with the ball and didn't have Meyer to get things moving.

I don't understand this team - what is the plan? It just looks like 11 players sprinkled onto the pitch. No fluency to our play whatsoever. We are so f***ing easy to play against - there could be no other team on the pitch and we'd still end up passing it across the back line 20 times before f***ing up and kicking it out for a throw.

Almost as desperate for a striker as I am to get home and have a hot shower.

Haha as Newcastle are 2-0 up as well.

Which means we are the 3rd lowest goalscorers in the league. Really don't need Sherlock Holmes to see where the problem lies. Let's hope we can fix it fairly soon.

excuses

over the last 5 years we have net spend of around 91.9m well West Ham/fulham just went and spent more then that this season alone and wolves spent 60m so we should have far better quality then we do have.

poor scouting network and SP doing his silly deals with Liverpool have cost us big time.

SP care about the stadium that would leave legacy for him.

If you can't front the money required for this league then you dont deserve ot be in it or you need to walk away.

Relegation is not bad if you can pop back up straight away you do get a lot of money going down and then coming up it's not like the old days when you got nothing so you had to cut players/staff.

The problem is Championship is very hard league and it's not case of losing all the players it may be those players can't play down there it requires different style.

We have horses for courses situation. We were unable to change our tactics to adapt to our opposition style of play.

Normally the only saving grace is a couple of beers before and half time. Today the beer was warm which considering it was f***ing freezing in the upper took some doing. A forgettable day all round.

As somebody mentioned pre game if you wish to push Wilf off the wing bring in Ward and put AWB on the wing. AWB and Wilf in more attacking positions close together would be interesting.

we spend nearly every penny that comes into the club via the PL gravy train on wages.

like i said it would be lovely to have a billonaire ready to throw his money around but we dont have that so we are where we are.

unless you have no grasp on reality & have unrealistic expectations surely you have to applaud what parish has done since being in charge not slag him off every time we lose.
