I think Parish likes the additional drama of holding back the announcement and being the last club to declare their deals which gives him an additional buzz - maybe because then our deals are always left at the top of the rolling web pages And it does add to the drama as he is not adverse to failing to complete some transfers that were supposedly done deals in the final minutes This one I would like to go through Lesson is only Steve Parish says when it is time to a lock a transfer thread

Ayew was having a medical at Palace earlier today, so unless he's failed the medical (in which case we wouldn't want him anyway), the deal has been done and will be announced in due course.
