If having our longest stay in the premier league is not progress then I fail to see what is.

We have been dicing with death every season and I don't really call it progress to escape relegation every year by the skin of our teeth coupled with our serendipity management style.

What else would you expect from a club of our size, with our infrastructure and with our recent history?

If that was to be given, at the end of the window, as a reason for a lack of transfer activity it would be the thinnest and most laughable excuse any club owners have ever made. Can we expect a lack of tranfer activity at Man U as well?

Yes and this is what the Glaziers have done to Utd
Manchester United has €200million more net debt than any other football club in Europe, new research from Uefa has shown. The European Club Football Landscape report shows the amount of money the Old Trafford owe. I also think that because of Utd assets and the crowds 60 thousand plus crowds each week and their world wide reputation out weighs clubs like CPFC who the taxman would be able take to the cleaners. Anyone in this country who works or is employed by an American company know that they pay well, but they what their pounds of flesh.

To not chuck the first handful of games and points away because we’re not prepared, start the season at the bottom after a promising finish, and find ourselves in desperate mode with regards to the single player available in a specialist position being unavailable after condescending tweets to fans with a good understanding of football.

And the Americans and sir Steve Parish’s profit goal is when they sell their shares, not withdrawing a profit to halt progress getting to the sale of the club after bringing the ground into this century.

There are PL clubs of a similar size (and smaller) that are able to maintain a steadier ship than us. What "recent history"? If that's a reference to administration, it's time we moved on from using it as an excuse for anything.

23 days to replace Cabaye or it’s a red or black roulette season for us. And that’s the bare minimum as well.

The discussion was about transfer activity, if you recall, and Man U have already made a net spend approaching £60m, so the answer to the question "can we expect a lack of tranfer activity at Man U as well" was 'no', and not a rant about the club's finances.

I meant our history where we have overwhelmingly played in lower divisions but I'm glad you mentioned the fact that we were almost liquidated only 8 years ago. It might be premature to think that the impact of such a devastating event has no impact now particularly when we are having to compete with other teams with established modern infrastructure.

And which teams do you mean? Are Watford, Burnley, Brighton, Huddersfield and Bournemouth really so better run than us? And if you think they are, please say how they are.

FdB was a disaster. Failing to have enough cover hurt us badly. But it was the extraordinary level of injuries that really stuffed us. The tweets... grasping straws there.

Roy H was a success. A modern ground will be a success. Zaha, Tomkins and Luca are all successes. £14M profit in last accounts is a success...

Extraordinary levels of injuries goes under the heading ‘Can and does happen.’

Having one striker and the only ever Prem team to have one striker with the chairman trying to put people in their place over it only for the said only striker to get injured a week or so after goes under the heading ‘Are you for real/fvcking kidding me?’

You minimise the strains on a team, not add or maximise them.

The tweets were treating people like fools.

If I remember correctly we were all excreting hot bricks in February when having failed to sign a keeper in January our two first team keepers both suffered injuries and there was a very real possibility of having to play a rookie from the development side in goal
