This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Vicente Guaita thread' by Midlands Eagle I'd like to see the players get off his back a bit. The amount of times they screamed at him for short distribution because they were facing him shouting for the pass and from my position in the Upper Holmesdale, every single time Guita was absolutely right not to because there was a Huddersfield player ready to pounce. I get that footballers generally think they are skillful enough to hold the ball under pressure and if they ask for it short the GK should give it to them but considering the amount of times Luka under a bit of pressure has passed it to an on-coming striker and he's one of the better ones. Considering Guita's other options were Schlupp and PVA no wonder he didn't think they could handle a short ball under immediate pressure. But he got massively dug out for it.

At times, there were three Huddersfield players pushing up preventing the short pass so it was too dangerous to play a short ball.Obviously a tactic to force us to go long.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Vicente Guaita thread' by Midlands Eagle Had another good game today, sometimes a bit unorthodox but his positioning and concentration cannot be faulted he actually makes some of the saves look easier than they really are.

I can remember Hennessey beaten at his near post by a fierce shot from six yards out by a completely unmarked attacker. Wayne was slaughtered on here because it was in on his near post yet Guita gets away with anything because the Guita lovers have rose tinted specs and see no wrong in him at all.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Vicente Guaita thread' by Midlands Eagle for the first goal he was on his knees before the ball was kicked . He has to make himself look large at times like this , as all top goalkeepers do
