Been saying for a while now that we will finish on 41pts.

And if so, amazing effort by Roy and co And especially with no striker for much of that.

One more whole season with Roy and one good striker and top half next year

There are many twists and turns to come and many highs and lows in the coming days and weeks.
Let's just hope we have more highs than lows!

You will probably get something off us on Saturday so hoping Southampton lose against Leicester.

We really have dropped some silly points over the past few weeks and the defence has been a shamble.

Zaha and Townsend will love playing against it!

Do you think your boys are already on the beach having reached 37 points?

I would give up on the predictions, don’t appear to have a good track record.
Maybe you do it to inflame other posters.

Willo the fatal flaw in your prediction Poch is not Mouriniho and Spurs are not Man U..!!

Spurs are still chasing Liverpool in 3rd and possibly eyeing second with Man U's current form..!!

So there is no way Spurs will take their foot of the gas..!!

In all reality it's hard to see Brighton or Huddersfield getting any more than 1 or 2 points out of what they have left - that leaves the benchmark at 37 points.

Which we will achieve if we beat Watford on Saturday - which IMO we will do as Watford again seem to have gone to the beach early - irrespective I think we will have too much for them..!!

Then we just need a point from Leicester, Stoke and WBA - 2 of them at home. Personally I think we'll get 6 more points from that and finish mid table on 42 points.

Which would be an absolutely brilliant achievement given where we were after 7 games and when Roy came in - 42 points from 31 games..!!

Then IMO it's a dog fight between Brighton, Huddersfield, Stoke, Swansea and Southampton - WBA despite their win at Man U were/are already gone..!!

We actually played quite well against Bournemouth and Burnley but let in late goals to only gain 1 point from 2 home games.

Against Huddersfield we were quite negative and basically were holding for a 0-0 but typically they scored in the 93rd minute.

Fine margins and all that!

I just think our defence is very weak under pressure as showed against you guys back in December.

Are we safe - probably but we will finish about 15th/16th I reckon like last season.

Which probably means the Pozzos will wield the managerial axe again!

They do like a new manager don't they. I think it should be quite a good game as I can't imagine us parking the bus so it should be pretty open for both sides.

Spurs team looks very good despite a number of changes. Shame Sissoko is playing rather than Dembele, but he's on the bench at least. Lucas Moura is quality. I'm going 0-3 Spurs.

Odd post. It is our defence that needs shoring up; but let's see what strikers are available..?

Ha! Let me try again.

I think it's been a long while since we looked or felt like a relegation side. There was of course the big dip after the long run but we looked pretty decent for most of that.

I don't really buy into the idea that buy us a tippety-top striker and we'll magick our way to the top half. If we do get there, I suspect it'll be on the back of a Roy pre-season, greater organisation and greater depth in midfield. Clone Luka and our defence would look twice as good. Roy teams succeed through organisation. The goals will come.

Back closer to topic - I still fancy one of Stoke or Soton to make the end of season a bumpy ride for someone. Hard to call as unexpected results are just that - unexpected. Just one upset result puts either of them right back in the mix. And one result can lead to another. Soton have a better chance as they have a decent goal difference - Stoke are in essence a point further back - unless Huddersfield ship lots.
