What are the chances of Burnley wining the PL? Nil. To survive a few years with a good season perhaps. That is it, the PL is the property of the mega-rich. It is simply beyond the financial clout of 3/4 of its members to compete.

It certainly won’t be the disaster some are making out. The players that stay will be more than good enough to form a strong nucleus of a decent Championship side. We’ll also have a decent kitty to sign some championship class. The gutter for me would be losing Wilf but as Wan-Bissaka has shown we have some quality in our academy ready to come through that would benefit from us being in the Championship. We have to accept relegation as a fact of life as CPFC. But under SP we can also now expect promotion and to a degree, for us to have a good chance of staying up again. I would be gutted if we got relegated but as a ST holder and attender of a fair number of away games I would welcome fewer games being moved around for TV, especially at late notice. Every cloud and all. For what it's worth I don't think we will go down given Southampton's form and run in, and the fact we have the tools and fixtures to keep us up. Still very much in our own hands.

After the Liverpool game we will have played 32 games and the 'Mood music' is that we could still be in the bottom three and a few points adrift. We could be. But given the number of teams within 3 points of us, and the fact that this weekend Huddersfield and Swansea play each other as do Southampton and Newcastle, we can't be more than 2 behind 17th max after this weekend. Plus Stoke have City so you'd imagine they won't get 3 points. Then we have Huddersfield which is a massive game. The fact it's FA cup quarter final weekend means only Stoke and WBA are also playing that weekend. So we are guaranteed to be 2/3 points behind at least 2 teams, and probably 3 or 4 after the Huddersfield game even if we lose. If we win we'll be out of the bottom 3. That Liverpool at home weekend Huddersfield play Newcastle and West Ham play Southampton so they can't all get points and Swansea are Away at Manure and Stoke away at Arsenal (who are still good at home unless it's against Man City). So I'd wager that even after the Liverpool game, even if we lost all of the next 3 games we'd be no more than 3 points off 17th. Which can't be classed as "adrift" given our final 6 fixtures. If we beat Huddersfield I think we'll be out of the bottom 3 after Liverpool even if we lose to Chelsea and Liverpool. Edited by CambridgeEagle (07 Mar 2018 11.53am)

It's mad this league. Losses are punishing and wins are phenomenally huge. You get a win and it can make thousands of people believe at full time, at whatever time you've played.

According to the latest betting odds WBA are as good as down,Stoke most likely to finish 19th and then between Palace and Huddersfield for the last relegation place. The away to Huddersfield game is massive!

We are at the point where it would be good for these teams to stop drawing and let a few of them go and be safe so that we get down to the nitty gritty and who has the B***s to stay up.

Your right about the league being mad i.d say crazy more like mate.If we play like we did against man United and not make the mistake of there first 2 goals then i.d say we'll move away from the bottom 3.It would be a huge achievement if we can get something out of the Chelsea and Liverpool matches but the quicker we get them 2 out of the way the better.I got a reply to a past post that every game is winnable and against the team's around us are.So the run in is going to make us or break us to get wilf back and not have anymore injuries we can do it and stay in the PL.I think roy has got it in him to make that happen. Think the Huddersfield game so important even a draw there wouldn't be a terrible result, As i see it West Ham with quality strikers they will be ok , Swansea very unlikely to go on a great run, Stoke the missed pen against Brighton in last minute will be the turning point they will go. Cant believe how little the pundits or papers think the chances Southampton are going down ,Charlie Austin still top scorer with 5 he hasnt played for a very long time no news on comeback date either , keep the faith we will stay up

The ref had better not let Huddersfield get away with round-robin fouling on Wilf this time. They have every incentive to try to put him back in hospital and they have zero honour and zero respect. The first one to try it should get a yellow card and his captain told that the next thug to try it will find himself in the showers. If thet do it and get away with it again I'm going to lose my last shred of confidence in the referees and formally complain to the FA, for all the good it will do.
