A person who has strong opinions is always polarising. That's independent of whether they come from a right or left perspective. People are often convinced that they are 'right' on some moral or practical basis. Perhaps sometimes that is the case when seen through a certain lens. However, having seen quite a lot in the world I tend towards the view that in reality....rather than being 'right' people have different worldviews which would obviously create different worlds that would be better for some and less so for others. I certainly personally reject cultural relativism and believe that some worldviews are vastly superior to others for the advancement of humanity. But that's my view....and despite being right...it's only a view....just like any other.

Some are just blinkered zealouts who, as is often the case, see their own faults in others.

This very often happens to people who are extremely intolerant, they put down others based on their 'view' of the world when in fact that is a perfect description of themselves. It's only a matter of time and they don't realise they have done it until someone points it out and then they see what a huge disaster they've made with what they thought they made with their 'carefully' thought out comments trying to avoid this exact situation. Again, hilarious but soooo predictable They will of course try and turn it around completely in a moment of 'rage', denying so of course, haha. Edited by europalace (15 Feb 2018 1.25pm)

I don't see any point in continuing this thread, I really do think people should let it rest.

To err is human. To get carded is divine.

What started off as an amusing joke has turned into the usual snarling match and no doubt there are a few more pages of "you're an idiot" "no, you're an idiot" to come although in not quite as many words

So to sum up this thread. It's OK to say that some of the early people who briefly inhabited the area of land now known as Britain might have had dark skin as long as we don't suggest that any of them were cannibals. In fact, we can't say that anyone with dark skin was ever a cannibal or that Britain ever did anything good for the world because it doesn't fit with the identity politics brigades airbrushed version of history.
