Parish and FDB have had several meetings since he arrived formal or otherwise discussing a range of matters. But there are those really excited by the notion of "Do as I say", "Change the style or your out" with a frazzled FDB coming out of the room in beads of perspiration clinging to his job by his fingertips !!!!

Suggesting Sammy Lee to takeover as manager deserves nothing else but that type of response. 3 games in, considering something like that is utterly ridiculous.

I hope also he has been left under no illusion that his job IS on the line and if results, and a more pragmatic style of play isn't in evidence soon, he's out. We did adapt our style quite drastically against Liverpool away though. If Parish wants us to adapt at home to Swansea and Huddersfield then it really does beg the question of why he hired Frank in the first place when the players we have in the squad are clearly not good enough to play any possession football (quite an incredible assumption on the money they earn). If you cant do anything but counter attack against those types of teams at home, then really do you deserve to be in the PL?

... if that were so then I'd agree with you. Originally posted by bexleydave
On the other hand, of course, you could be completely wrong. Dominic Fifield doesn't generally "make up stories" and if you really believe that no blame attaches to de Boar for our truly chaotic start to a new season, and that it's all just business as usual, then you could well be in line for the Most Deluded Poster in the next HOL Awards.
We move in the direction of our thoughts. |

Basically what I concluded was Dom Fifield knew that there was a meeting happening - had no idea what it was about but decided it was one where Frank had to beg for his job. He came out of the meeting and wasn't sacked and Dom reported it as "clinging onto his job". A complete load of s*** stirring bollox in my opinion. I'd normally agree with just another journo making stories up but that completely forgets that Dominic Fifield is normally pretty dam spot on when coming to reporting Palace. IMO he is the best journalist for information on Palace, other than stuff directly coming out of a club press release. I'd be hugely surprise if he didn't have some kinda access / friendship with Parish or one of his very close aids. IMO if Fifield has written it about Palace it's true until proven otherwise.

In fairness he just said that we agreed a deal with Liverpool for Sakho and it turned out our bid was actually rejected. Plenty of "reliable sources" saying Frank had cleared his desk last night too. Do have to wonder who these people are sometimes and what it is about them that is so reliable.

You got a link to him saying we've secured Sakho?

The manager hit the nail on the head when he said they didn't have the courage. It is down to the management to give them that belief that they can do what is asked of them. Thank you; finally, someone who is capable of grown up thinking. 100% correct.

I can't see him being dismissed after just 3 games. But have to agree with you Willo, Freedman will not be the answer.
Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course). |

Holloway managed us for about 40 games that season and freedman about 7 so try not to rewrite history. He lost his and his fans' claims of promotion the day he left and further tarnished himself by unnecessarily grassing us up, although he was so used to it with Jordan he couldn't help himself. Keep him in the background judging potential talent, what he's used to and away from the dugout.
