FDB will not be removed of his duties in the short term.

Maybe not but once rumours like this even begin circulating to the extent they have, recovering from it is a very difficult task.

We're the Arthur over ere!

"Rumours" won't affect any decision making at the club.
A decent away result at Burnley and the rumours will start to disappear.

I would normally be very supportive of a new manager, especially one of Frank's track record, and giving him more time to turn things around. But this time its so obviously a bad fit, and frank's stubborness ( OK commitment to his passing style of play) just means we are going to leak more points. So sadly its time to part company with him as soon as the transfer window closes

Makes me laugh how has beens that know little about Palace like Cascarino, Higginbottom, Prutton all think they know so much more about it. These are the same 'pundits' (I use the term loosely) that will completely contradict their own opinion now if later down the line FdB turns things around and makes it work.
Parish must see this through. He appointed FdB and verbally backed him. Its now time to continue giving his backing and add financial backing too.
The bloke needs time, support from within as well as us fans and a little patience. We were poor against Swansea but I agree with him. Its not the system that doesn't work and the problem isn't that we don't have the players to play that system. Quality players can play any number of systems. Its about only having one fit striker (whose not in great form). Its about needing a centre half which still has not been addressed. Its about not having enough competition for Ward on the right of defence and its about needing a decent keeper.
These were all problems that were there to be addressed when last season ended. It is not Frank de Boer's fault these problems have still not been resolved.
Give him the tools he needs, give him a few games to work with what he has. THEN we have the right to judge him.

But let's be honest under the current system can you see us scoring let alone winning.

It will be interesting as not sure if this statistic but we could be the first team after 8 PL games to be on 0 points.

As I have no faith/confidence in his system regardless on who signs in the next 3 days and can't see us getting anything from:

Burnley
Southampton
Man City
Chelsea
Man Utd

Sorry but that's just how I feel and that is why I think a change needs to be made now, if I felt FDB would change his system I would be happy for him to stay but he won't.

I said on Saturday the papers were reporting we would play 442 and I said we would win as soon as I saw the team formation I turned to my boy and said we have lost.

It does not take a genius to see it is not working nothing against FDB but we are not the right club for him at this time as we can't financially back him in the way he is needed.

From a business/investor point of few they just don't have time to take risks unfortunately the PL is ruthless whether we as fans think it's a joke business wise you have to act before it's too late.

I think SP will just admitt this he got it wrong that's life it happens now let's make the right decision next time.

Yes I agree with a lot of this.
I would add that individual defensive errors have contributed to our downfall in the first 3 games. We have given away some poor goals.

You say these are problems that needed to be addressed from last season and it is not FDB fault then as a manager whose fault is it.

If BFS was in charge we would probably of had 2 wins by now I am sorry but we are deluded if we don't think FDB is part to blame here.

The change of system has not helped either if BFS had stayed this would have been resolved it's the same as upfront why again have we gone into the season with just 1 striker we just never learn again surely FDB should have got one in back in August.

Look at Sam's record without Sahko. 0.85 points a game over 13 games! That's relegation form.

Ward and Kelly are both liabilities, and we've had to play them far too often due to a lack of any squad depth.

The issue is deeper than simply a change of manager.

If you come to a fork in the road, take it.

If Allardyce had the same personnel available I think we would probably still lost the first three games. As Mr Willo pointed out it was individuals making errors that led to the goals. Neither Allardyce nor FdB could do anything about that.

I don't get why so many people on these boards are focused on one person as though changing him would solve a long term deeper issue.

Our record (and it needs to be said again) without Sahko was awful. Sam averaged 0.85 points a game despite spending 30m. That is 32 points over a whole season.

Sam Allardyce, who is supposedly streaks ahead of FDB was in relegation form with the exception of one player (who is no longer at the club). That should speak volumes to supporters.
