Keshi looked great. L-Cheek looked great. The youngsters looked great. Sahko/Dann would've stopped that first shot at goal - sorry Damo. Kelly: not up to it. They kept their shape. Lots of positives. No injuries. Zaha looking to keep improving his form. Schlupp and PVA looked great. Punch made an error: shielded instead of passed and lost the ball - I think I saw FDB remonstrating to him about that very thing by his body language. The team looked good. Very happy. 2-0 a reasonable result and FDB didn't show too much of his hand because Damo/Dann/Kelly playing but that will be different come August I think. Sako? Sako looked like he's really trying to improve his game and I think he played very well - enough to make FDB think. Luka played well too. Hennessey played well. A very good outing.

Positives: Wilf, Schlupp, Wan-Bissaka, Dann Negatvives: Delaney, Puncheon, Ward, Sako Decent performance against a team that looked fitter and sharper than us. Probably due to the fact that they have already played two friendlies. Nice to see some of the kids get a chance as well. I didn't think Anderson did too badly to be honest. Gruijic is scum.

Good to hear the fans are training hard in their pre-season bitching, getting in shape for the real bitching in August. That's dedication.

if this is so meaningless why even bother to do it could of just setup to play smaller teams. this matters to bigger teams you would see it from the liverpool players. no one is expecting the players to be up to top shape but come on that was very poor and it didn't even look like the players was interested give or take a couple of them like Wilf. That reminded me of when Pardew was in charge minus all the injuries. Funny how the league season only ended 2 months ago and the players are already out of shape this shows how poor footballers are this is not even taking into account that a lot of them would of still been playing international games after league season ended so they shouldn't be that out of shape. In fact, this is ridiculous, I'm not going to waste any more time on explaining what pre-season is. Bye.

Edited by grumpymort (19 Jul 2017 3.44pm) it only matters in that they know they were paid an awful lot like us to be there, perhaps a little more so. but to actually win the trophy, that again, is simply for worldwide merchandizing desires. The fans don't care that much from this end and so they shouldn't.
