We need Tompkins against Arsenal or we are back in the soup.

Hull are away to Man City, so it's not inconceivable that we can lose and stay 16th. Swansea can't catch us in this round, and are away to West Ham - so whatever the result there it is good for us.

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.

The midfield - that's been so good at protecting the back 4 - was missing tonight both in and out of possession. Chalk it up to fatigue, injuries and football being a funny old game.

First half was much better - perhaps a good indicator of what Cabaye brings to the team. Lukd seemed to be doing the job of two for a good half hour.

Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five!

They just got to re-group, and focus on Arsenal.

If they could end their Arsenal hoodoo on Monday, please!!!

Well at least some results seem to have gone for us tonight, with Swansea, West Ham and Bournemouth (so far) losing.

Arsenal result tonight doesn't look promising though.

Hull being the only winner in the mix is not bad for us. We still get to play them at home.

We missed Cabaye in the second half no doubt but really should have had this wrapped up and posted before Southampton took control late on .

Our Corners were really poor , with a clear height advantage not one corner ,and we had a few beat the near post defender , that was unacceptable IMO.

Still it was a game we were in for 80 odd minutes and given the 3 points we picked up on Saturday this wasn't a disaster but more of a stumble on the road to recovery .

Think the Chelsea match plus this one was too knackering after 4 straight wins? Losing Dann and Tomkins didn't help and then Cabaye at half time. Not sure Sako for Cabaye helped as well - strange substitution but his recent subs have been spot on. It's going to the wire im afraid :-(

Bournemouth equalising is a bit s***, but the Swansea and West Ham losses are crucial. Remaining 3pts above the drop zone with a game in hand is ok.

Darned awful result but not unexpected as far as I am concerned. We are still have it all to do to avoid the drop.
