Allardyce reckoned this was his best win in the PL and he has won a fair few in his long managerial career. Fantastic response after going behind so early. Most teams would of folded there and then. Confidence and fight is now really flowing. COYP !!

This game should be high on the MOTD running order. It will be interesting to see if the pundits spend more time on Chelsea's inadequacies in the game or on our performance.

Shearer will be highlighting the penalty appeal against Townsend and then going on to say that if the ref hadn't robbed Chelsea at that moment they would of gone on to win 10-2 at least!

I was not a BFS fan.

However every single substitutions have been perfect in comparison to the last manager we had.

Taking Townsend off and putting Kelly on; if you had told me that before the match I would have screamed with laughable fear.

His substitutions have been impeccable.

Talk of action about the fireworks/flares.

Whilst this should not of happened surely the stadium officials should be questioned. How is the club supposed to prevent supporter/s bringing stuff into the stadium ?

Chelsea were outstanding today, they played a lot better then they have in matches that they've managed to win. Hazard in the 1st half was mind blowingly good, all of which reflects on us very well indeed. They couldn't finish for peanuts.

^^^^^^ this. End of.

He's been off the boil this season, but to be fair, that was Eden Hazard he was up against. Insanely good player.

What frustrates me more from Ward is his poor passing. His passes forward to Zaha have been atrocious BUT, we won.

We can thank Ward for his hard work and improve in that position in the summer.

i cant knock anyone's efforts today, but i agree. tho im not just talking about against hazard, i mean in general. he'll have to up his game to the player he was, cos if we stay up, i can see SA bringing in a new right back, esp as we only have kelly for cover.

One of the best performances of the last few years.
Zaha - superb; Sakho- what can you not say about this guy? Have we ever landed on our feet so much with a player? Luka - the Serbian assassin and Wayne surely put his doubters in their place. Joel Ward is on a mission from God!
And, the guys who came on did fantastic. I was pleased to see Damian Delaney back on the pitch. He knows he not a first team starter, but did his job.

What's thee odds Sheared says Chelsea had an off day.

Can't wait for the highlights with a nice glass of red.

Two more wins should see us safe.

Had a feeling all week we would get a result.

Totally agree. Bar their finishing and maybe Kante not being at his 100% best, Chelsea were tremendous. Clearly the best team we have played this season. I text a friend (Southampton fan) at HT and said that I wouldn't begrudge losing to such a quality team. Hazard was absolutely phenomenal 1st half (but we shackled him better 2nd half). Yes, we rode our luck a little but our performance was excellent: basically, a few players had their best games of the season all at once (Hennessey in particular).
