Yeah, Benteke is such a good player... Actually he might be. It could be that he is playing in the wrong team playing the wrong style. Either way, I am entitled to think he isn't the right player for us and in an inflated market we'll never get anywhere near the money we paid for him. Think I'm wrong? Two words, Llorente and Giroud. Llorente might not be considered as good as Benteke but Giroud is and he went for £15m-£18m.

Jordan had his faults but we had academy players come thorough under him. Wilf and Johnny being the last to make 10 or more appearances for the first team. So many people think they are Parish products but are wrong. Easier to do in the Championship. Also, so successful he still managed to lead us in to admin. Also Williams debuted under Parish's tenure

When we did have a young player come through like Routledge, we dallied over offering him a new contract when we got promoted, and promptly lost him to Tottenham.
Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time. |

Also Williams debuted under Parish's tenure Yes he led us to administration but he was doing it alone not with 3 co-investors so he had a harder job. As for Williams, yes he made his debut a year after Parish took over but who do you think was chairman in the years before that? He was at the club for 4 or 5 years while Jordan was in charge.

He signed for Palace under Jordan and came through the system for 4 to 6 years before his debut 6 weeks after Jordan was forced out. So that makes him, both, Jordan players.

Out of choice Have you read his book? He tried to get backers in, one of them Parish, but he got screwed over. Before you say the account is total rubbish, it is notable he hasn't been sued for libel of slander for his comments in the media from someone who is quite happy to sue people.

Quite simple because people fellate Parish for being "our most successful chairman ever" yet he did it with 3, now 2, co-investors who co-write the cheques. Everyone who did the job before, on their own, had a harder job. You have to compare apples with apples. It'd be like me saying Parish is a gibs***e because he isn't as good a chairman as the one a Man City, not comparable.
