My brother in law is a die hard Palace fan who used to sell programmes back in the day and going to the games is the only thing that he misses about England. It's a wonderful city that probably appeals to different people to London but I often wonder how many Londoners who claim that we have the best city of culture in the world actually bother with it anyway

Stayed for four weeks in Balmain/Balmoral and visited some rellies out in the sprawl. I quite liked Sydney but got to be honest four weeks was more than enough for this Londoner on holiday. Felt i'd seen everything there was to see. London? Well it's hundreds of things to choose from everyday, 1500 years of varying architecture side by side, iconic sports teams, beautiful parks, a hundred little towns/villages which make up the whole metropolis, access in two hours by plane to 50 other countries, theatre (lots of), the history of the place, the choice of food (Sydney was great for that), the world class museums, etc etc etc. Only get back to the place a few weeks a year now but love it still. Always will.

That includes jumping on a plane and being in a multitude of different countries soaking in their sunshine and culture. It takes a little less than that for you to hit Sydney from the Central Coast as a stand alone city Sydney is amazing but it is very very stand alone and isolated. I will probably move back when I am less mobile and have less adventure in me as I was smart enough to get my passport and my missus doesn't want to come back here full time.

West Ham were giving it large over the other platform and I was singing back at them along with a few other cpfc fans, before I knew it I was getting smashed in the back of the head by some c***t and also another. Police were sh1t as usual and wondering if anyone else saw what happened Edited by SwordFish (16 Oct 2016 8.48am) I have to say I feel a bit of sympathy for the original poster. I got attacked on Saturday night for no reason, unless my dancing was particularly offensive. I was down by the seafront in Barcelona, which is an dangerous area at two in the morning I think the moral of the story is to avoid areas where unpleasant gits will congregate. I think you were expecting great things from West Ham fans, which is as much of a mistake as my simple faith in the night time inhabitants of a town where the police have given up. At least you didn't end up on the floor and have to go to work with a black eye. I blame the manager. Bert Head out!
