no not really , it got media coverage .

interviewer " iggy , do you think you influenced anybody?"

As I previously said, I only saw it mentioned on here and am sure many others wouldn't have known about it otherwise.

Crazy world

Can't be bothered to read the whole thread but please tell me that they see the irony here . . .

I thought fabric was a washing powder, good for all black clothes, maybe Daz or persil takes the colour out and leaves Red and Blue stripes.
Ooooo they are the Palace colours...HF wouldn't want that now, wearing the colours of the club they support.

Don't worry, most posters haven't read it either. It's mainly a place for people to attempt (mostly repeated) humour.

I get sick to death of people saying , its what it is , no it isn't , the terrace protests by various fans groups highlighted the high cost of away tickets and it worked .

I don't go to fabric but venues I go to for gigs and drinking are closing down all over London and for me this protest was representative of this situation . by the sound of it London culture and nightlife has got nothing to do with you so why don't you just ignore it and let people that it does affect actually get out and make their voices heard .

If you had bothered to read the whole thread you would know the first line of my first post said "I couldn't give a fcuk about the banner...." I was just happy Palace had won.

But of course the HF fanatics on here tried to bully me into changing my opinion by abuse and childish insults so I've responded by telling them why I don't give a fcuk.

Now you are telling me to ignore it which is what I did.

Thanks for your input.

It seems like it's a matter of saving face in your eyes. Why do you care what other football fans think of Palace? Most of them don't even have an opinion. Not once have I met a fan who had a bad opinion about Palace (not including rival fans). Furthermore, it's not like the HF's behaviour turns our fixtures into bubble fixtures is it?

It isn't and I don't.

Another responder who needs reminding that the first line of my first post said "I couldn't give a fcuk about the banner..."

FFS.... give it a rest mate.

I have read the whole thread and you said you don't want to see this sort of stuff at football so you did/do give a f**k .

I understand what you're saying. However, what I don't understand is why the banner upsets you so much? How is it "burdening" you? Why would the view represent the whole of the club? The banner wasn't waved through the streets among the masses.. it was brought out by an easily identifiable group of young men.. Anybody who follows premier league football are probably aware of the HF. So lets hop back over to your statistical analysis. What percentage would you say acknowledge that the HF are an independent entity that follow the club, and do not identify as official club spokesmen? I'd say 80% at least..

Let them wave a banner, why don't you bring your own saying "I just want to watch the football, f*#k fabric" (or words of your own choosing to that affect) to WH @ home?

Why don't you tell me what you do for fun then? Drink in the Clifton Arms? What if the council were going to shut down your favourite matchday pub that you've been visiting for years!!

To many young people, Fabric isn't just a nightclub. It is to do with youth culture. It's part of their identity. I don't see how waving a bedsheet with some paint on is really that traumatizing lol..

Congratulations the best response I've had so far.

But to be boring and consistent I'll remind you as well.... deep breath... the first line of my first post said "I couldn't give a fcuk about the banner...."

Since then all the HF pawns have come at me with their abuse and childish name calling for daring to "diss" the HF and confess that I just like to watch the football at Selhurst.

Fcuk knows what I was thinking about, and I'll further admit that I've been doing it since 1963.... what a cnut I am.

But only in response to goading and abuse by the HF pawns and sh1t stirrers like yourself.

I was quite happy to leave it with the one post actually.

Hold on a minute and go back to my first post on this matter.

I said "I couldn't give a fcuk what they get up to...."

Basically my message was I go to football to watch football first and foremost.... all the other stuff that makes up the day is secondary.

For holding that view it seems that you and other HF obsessives regard me as a Victorian Headmaster, a pant wetter, a tool, a helmet, etc.

I'll repeat my views again just incase anyone is confused.... the HF are at their best whipping up the crowd to join in with songs of support and that is what the Media have picked up on and complimented our fans for (not just the HF but our fans in general).
I don't like or agree with the political messages the HF now insist on displaying but if they want to do them I cannot stop them but just ask them to consider that maybe the majority of Palace fans don't hold those same views but will be grouped in as supporting those views when it's being televised live to the nation and beyond.

In a nutshell I like watching football without distractions particularly when Palace are/were playing well like we were last Sunday.

Can I make one further request?

Cut out the insults on here... we're all adults and it is common practice for individuals to hold opposing views. It is childish and moronic to give personal abuse to another person just because he/she disagrees with you.

Just agree to disagree and move on.

HF obsessive, are you serious?I haven't posted anything praising the HF let alone gushed my adoration for them. And as for a schoolteacher analogy being abusive that's just drama queen material. You must have posted 10 comments on what you think is wrong about a couple of kids and Bedsheetgate so it obviously is important enough for you to make your feelings known about it. If that is not ironic I have no idea what is, the debate it has caused on here is exactly the response you want when protesting about something.I have read all your comments and I still find myself wondering what exactly have they done that has riled you.
