If you count just minutes of actual play prem league only and divide by goals and assists for last season the following is interesting, I have put martial in there to show bentekes worth and Zanuzaj to show bolasies worth Benteke goal or assist every 1.4 games Benteke worth 32 mill yep

Yes it is a business decision, a business decision by the owners of CPFC. Personally I think they've done more than enough for our support in their decisions. Great loyalty but not very good logic.

So when Liverpool sold Suarez they showed a lack of ambition? Juve sell Pogba, Spurs sell Bale, Manure sell Ronaldo, Beckham. I could go on but i wont - why because its silly as is this argument. I think the club has a player angling for a shot at a bigger club. There's been plenty of noise this past year. This is a player who is inconsistent - to say the least. We've bought a player with less tricks but a better track record of delivering a cross and scoring actual goals. Hopefully we will get a tricky attacking midfielder as well and we'll have a plan B this season. Suarez engineered that move as he always has. They sold him because he left them no choice by biting someone.

The difference is Man U, Chelsea, Tott, and so on have the money to go and buy more super stars when the sell their best players to replace them. We cant go and buy who we want when we want SO we have to keep our best players

Surely this is a great signing. They both play the same position, and doubt either would settle for a position on our bench. So the stats show we have the better player and we've made a huge profit which will go towards buying Benteke... Why can't people see this is good business. From those stats you should be more annoyed that we let Gayle go for only £10M

I'd like to see that we have sold Bolasie not because we can buy Benteke but we can buy Benteke AND fill/improve the other pieces in the squad jigsaw. Benteke plus another forward Those are more difficult with the fee for Benteke £5mil-£7mil higher and no £25mil and a possible £30mil in add-ons from selling Bolasie who wants a bigger challenge anyway. Is it that difficult for people to see this? Let's hope it is the case and not keep the squad limited to no cover in 1 or 2 positions like last season. Edited by Rudi Hedman (11 Aug 2016 12.47am)

Glad we agree i truely dont believe bolasie was sold to buy benteke and then not replace him ,that wouldnt make sense, we would have the same amount of wingers as last year which as we knw wasnt enough, However bolasie sold to bring in another striker a no ten and a winger makes sense, and i think your eye for tgr gaps is spot on except for one thing i dont knw if you saw the stats on different players goals and assists ratios in my previous message but thats the bit that concerns me, 20 mil bahinio who actually spent much of his time at wba last season as a no 10 or wide assisted none and scored 1 un 5 thats less then bolasie, sako west ham closer but 15 mill and apoarently a injury issue, my fear is us finding a winger who can assist and score , no distespect at all to zaha or punch but a 1 in 9 or 1 in 6 isnt going to help benteke , we get a no 10 and a winger with both a 1 in 3 ratio for the 25 to 27 mill we get for bolasie thats two players for the price of one fantastic business but who ! Hence the list provided and comparisons , there aint alot out there readily available and what is will be expensive its not just an over inflated price for bolasie its everyone , exept townsend due to relegation clauses was a steal, i believe that the bolasie exit wasnt planned a sun journalist 2 weeks ago said zaha and bolasie upset re a promised contract review not happening, a week before bolasie was saying he couldnt wait for benteke bahinio or sako he knew them all, i think palace were going to splashthe cash lessons learnt after last year, at least 4 out and out wingers 3 strikers etc i think we would of had it all, what makes me think this is that its v late in the day to arrange for two strikers to come in and a winger to replace another winger who needs to be sold, if this had been plan a we would be out getting a replacemt fir bolasie before we sold him like we did with the keepers, bolasie has jumped perhaps initially over a wage row but leaves us needing 3 vital points from wba with our side from last year exept townsend for bolasie , with no fit prem experianced wingers and only 1 striker, pullis would love to get his side to kick us all over the park injure wickham and stuff zaha or townsend retribution for the 3 mill we won in court against him ,

It's not a sign of ambition but sense. I think that Man Uband Real Madrid are rivals - - on a European platform. But look at Southampton do they lack ambition? If so I would like to be too...

I understand your thinking but I find it odd that a club that claims to be going places sells one of their most "iconic" players. He and Zaha have been what Palace has been about the last few years and what has made us entertaining to watch. Regardless of stat's Bolasie has been a key ingredient in our success and to sell him at his peak represents a return to the dark days for me.
