I'd say that 1 goal every 2 games, plus his form for Villa, is more than arguing from a position of ignorance; rather, it is backed up by evidence. Also, there's ALWAYS a risk when you a sign a player. If you don't sign a player simply because you don't KNOW (the emphasis is important) 100% that they'll shine you'll never bloody sign anyone! As yet, nothing has been proven with regards to whether he is better than what we have. But... He does have a better record and reputation. He is an international player and commands a high transfer fee. So I'd be temped to agree that he is better than anything we have at the moment. In my opinion he's better than anything we've had for a long while. I personally think get it done and just add the extra 5 mil on.

As amusing as your dissection of comments are I'm afraid you offer no stronger a case than the one you are arguing.he does have a better record and reputation. If he moves here then he won't be in Liverpool so that's not overly important is it? If I was basing my opinion on him purely on international status and transfer fee I would have said that. What I actually said was he's good and therefore commands a transfer. And then to end it on a scummer remark just shows how much of a troll you really are. Good try though.

Wickham has never looked anything like a 20 goal a season striker, as for Benteke, VIlla were carried by him for 2 seasons, look where they are now he has gone. He is far better than what we have anyone suggesting otherwise is in cloud cuckoo land. Even in his drab last season he still showed glimpses of class, (the bicycle kick anyone?) There is a reason he is worth 30 million and Wickham is worth 9 despite being younger and English. Would be the best striker palace have had since the early 90s, a top class player, and not someone I expected us to have a sniff of in the window.

I'm gettin all giddy. This is like when Bert Head started buyin the likes of Gerry queen yogi Hughes don Rogers etc. We are going big time again only this is even bigger. First Brexit now my team ig going mad. Dunno how we are doin it but I am lovin it. Really lovin it. Think where we were 5 years ago. This is all a dream......and I'm back in the gym. Before I say this I am not saying I don't want us to buy Benteke but, he has got to practice finishing. Some of the misses at Liverpool when he's side on to goal and the ball comes at him on the floor surprise you so much when he hits row 15 and wide of the goal. The focus and body prep needs a lot of work.

Benteke suffered a very serious injury while at Villa. I dont think he's ever got back to the heights he showed then. He was very special at Villa and if we can get him back to that level it will be fantastic

I think he'll score 15 plus goals a season for us should he come.
