Easily the best player to play for Newcastle in the last 10 years, he really is sublime in midfield, deep-lying or advanced. Not a better passer of the ball in the league now with Gerrard gone, and his long range shooting and free kicks are consistently brilliant. Would be jealous as out but pleased to see him back in the Premier league playing weekly.
You wouldn't see anymore 65/35 possession in favour of the opposition anymore. He is the type of player at home that we are crying out for. To dictate games now we need a different type of player and he is it. At home we struggle we've got to turn that around and start controlling football matches. We've done brilliantly with our counter attacking style but we will be found out as teams will drop deeper. To start controlling football matches in our favour you need a dictator. Cabaye is it. sotac646... I can vouch for that after being a season ticket holder the whole time Cabaye was at Newcastle. In that season we finished 5th, Cabaye was massive for us. So many games we edged 2-1 or 1-0, and we would usually be under pressure in the latter stages; and it would be Cabaye's composure, confidence in his ability and passing range from deep lying positions which got us out of some potentially dangerous positions/situations. He really can effect games to a degree which is rare in our league imo. Don't know why Arsenal, Liverpool etc. aren't in for him, regardless of age.

I am sure that Steve Parish and CPFC 2010 Have had financial discussions with Alan Pardew and to move Palace on to the next Level we have to sign Yohan Cabaye and with him working with AP before we must get in there first before West Ham.

The Hammers can offer European football in the Europa League Only if they qualify for it first, so he could hold off and wait to see if that happens. Anyway, it's already been said by Cabaye, it's first team football he needs if he has any hope of getting in the French squad for the European Champs. Playing in the European Championships is much better that a couple of games in the Europa Cup, because let's face it if Wet Spam do qualify, they aren't going to get very far AND will struggle to qualify for Europe the following year. To any European player with a chance of being called up international, regular first team football is way more attractive than the Europa.

The player himself has said he would be open to a move to work with his old boss . It's more than just a rumour.

The guy is a regular starter for france. He could play in any league in top 6 teams. He would improve Liverpool Spurs United Dortmund Inter Napoli Fiorentina to name a few and i reckon would start regularly at all those sides. Unless he loves fish and chips and a pint of Speckled Hen or has a very questionable relationship with Pards i don't see how this happens. Just seems talk to make other clubs realise he is available. Hope to be proved wrong but..... ain't happening.
