I don't want it to sound like I am being anti-Liverpool. I'd rather see them win the league than Chelsea or City and have nothing personal against them. It's just...singing someone else's song....that's a bit iffy. It's up there with half and half scarves.

If they didn't have Suarez or about 16 fewer games to play they'd be 3rd at best. Fair play for not practically buying it though.
Even if he heard you, do you really think he would bat an eyelid? There's a reason he's on one side of the advertising boards and you're on the other.

How is the "justice for the 36" campaign going, 30th anniversary next year,
Also, read this. Heysel wasn't Liverpool fans, it was a joint operation by many of the 'Firms' at the time. You can't just blame Liverpool, it was England versus Italy in reprisal, you may just as well blame the influence of 'The Italian Job'. Interesting comment included: In the years that followed many of the huge fan banners on display wherever Liverpool played incorporated a Juventus flag as a mark of respect to the victims Edited by Mapletree (23 Apr 2014 1.30pm)

I think if I heard Palace fans singing "You'll Never Walk Alone" it'll be the first time in my life I'll be embarrassed to be a Palace fan. It'll be worse than coming into the office in Brighton last year after they'd done us 3-0 at the weekend.
Well I'm glad i've never seen/heard it happen.

Firstly you've picked a website I guarantee was written by Liverpool fans to make them feel better about themselves for what they did. Where did say Juve fly Liverpool banners? It doesn't. Juventus do NOT have a close affinity with Liverpool fans and I dare anyone to walk around Turin with anything scouse. Secondly, again - another pile of complete t*ss - why the f*ck would other teams fans go all the way to Belgium to join in with Liverpool fans just for a punch-up? A load of Mancs joining them? All the cockneys too? They were outside the ground while the game was going on were they? B*lls***. My old man has followed Palace up and down the country since the mid-60's and he has NEVER heard Palace sing YNWA and would have expected anyone to get an absolute pasting if they got caught singing it or have got them sectioned. Liverpool are a f*cking horrible club - end of. The Nigels have officially taken over the HOL.

But I'll let you know after I've screamed at the repugnant toad. And yes, there is a reason why we are on different sides of the advertising boards. He's male and I'm female. He's good at footbal and I'm not.
I'm tough. I'm ambitious. I know exactly what I want. If that makes me a bitch, I'm OK with that. |

Does that mean you won't be voting for me? Damn, I was relying on that. Maybe then my memory is playing tricks on me, I am sure I remember holding my nylon claret and blue scarf aloft on multiple occasions. Clearly just a senior moment on my part. I think you are right that the fans haven't forgiven what happened, but the clubs appear to be trying to work together. Secondly [and by far the most significant contributing factor that directly led to the deaths] why was a game of such importance played in what ought to have been a condemned building? The arrest of random Liverpool supporters was nothing short of a deflection and scapegoating. In short, Liverpool fan culpability was way down the order of contributing causes. Also, wasn't the decison to English clubs from Europe self-imposed by the British government? Similarly, the decision to lift the ban??

Oh, on topic, Palace fans singing YNWA? Not a hope! We had the minute's silence as an expression of our respect and it was faultlessly observed [by Palace fans, Villa fans on the other hand...]. That's enough. The May day game is our last home game and thus all about our astonishing success this season. YNWA will be completely drowned by GAO.

This detail that the Liverpool crowd that day at Heysel included Luton West Ham ICF, Millwall Bushwackers & Toon Army is a little far fetched. For a start you'd never get West Ham & The ICF to spend more than 5 mins together as some from either side have been seriously injured and both West Ham & Millwall have seriously injured some Newcastle hooligans as well. It just wouldn't happen and is more fiction from the original version of 'The Firm', although the '88 England group did join forces as it's versus countries and hundreds rather than 1 club. I also remember seeing it and it looked more like scruffy scousers who'd jibbed it all the way from Liverpool to Belgium and 'football fans' who'd been drinking for hours all day rather than groups of casuals in jumpers costing or shirts costing the average weekly wage. So hardly Luton, Millwall or West Ham then.
