Just been on Talk sport that F.A are looking at a 4 or 6 points deduction for the Cardiff team leak. They will make their decision after final games!

Points deduction? Nah, what are they doing to see if they investigate this, Palace field the same team as they have done for weeks, Cardiff put out a team that any prem manager would of guessed and didn't change it even though they allegedly knew about the leak 24 hours before. The result would of been the same regardless and remember it's innocent till proven guilty, they'd have to prove that we maliciously tried to get hold of that team sheet and employed dubious methods to do so. Can't see how going to that much effort for a team sheet that could be guessed with a 99% accuracy would be worth it. As for making an example of us, surely if they did deduct points, then this would set the example of bringing this kind of complaint up could get your rivals to have points deducted and we could see this kind of tactic being used at the end of every friggin season. I mean in that case f*ck it, get someone in the Palace back room staff who fancies making a bonus to text the team sheet to someone at Fulham and then claim they cheated and get some points deducted from them. I can't see the FA taking this seriously ,especially from a man who looks like a James Bond baddy.
The trouble with computers, of course, is that they're very sophisticated idiots |

So suppose the game is ordered to be replayed, Cardiff win and they stay up at the expense of, say, Fulham or Norwich. That alone will provoke a sh*tstorm of litigation. It's a road the FA just won't go down. These allegations only have legs if money changed hands at some stage and it can be proved so. It's a preposterous notion. A desperate attempt by Tan to claw back some points and, frankly, it's doomed, like his club, to failure.

Any deduction would be appealled, and the history of the PL giving points deductions doesn't seem to suggest that this would count. The precident set by West Ham over Tevez set the bar high for a points deduction. I think people are speculating wildly, because theres never really been such an incident before. Cardiff are only calling for the game to be 'cancelled' essentially costing us 3 points. We should offer to replay the game. If the evidence is a text forwarded by someone else to someone to a third party and then recieved from the original party I don't really see how it proves a corrupt practice: only that someone provided Moody etc with information (or that Tony Pulis had the information and acted on it). Its embrassing, but I fail to see how anything can be claimed as proven other than being a bit unethical. We should also approch the FA and PML about how all this information is actually available as public record. Given that the newsources seem to have obtained a lot of information pre-investigation, it would seem that Cardiff are equally questionable in that they're leaking information to the press that contaminates any impartial investigation. The media seems to know as much about it as the FA. The text seems to have been seen by all and sundry, the FA/PML complaint has been seen by the news agencies, and Tan has several times been quoted in direct reference to the evidence.

Just been on BBC news about it, Cardiff say we had an advantage knowing their team, I would expect it to be chucked out, as apparently it goes on all the time, and if Cardiff leaked it, why would we be punished.

Fielding an ineligible player is one thing but it is hard to see how being given the wrong information of an opponents team sheet would in any way directly influence a matches outcome, can't see how a points deduction could be justified. Mr Tan is an odious little worm who seems to blame everyone and everything for his sides shortcomings , no wonder he was such a successful businessman .
