I've just sat here and read every single reply to this thread and would like to add a few things. I have sat in block B for 5 years now and I've got to know a lot of the HF lads. Most of them are really decent lads. Obviously there is a few who will fight if threatened or provoked but they are a NON VIOLENT GROUP. Most of them are just like any other fan in the ground who love palace. Some of these lads was doing there 8 hour shifts at work and then putting in another 10 hours making this display possible. They never demand it but they certainly deserve huge respect for what they do. Re coins: Not everyone in block B is associated with the HF and with all the things they have to worry about at the moment ( Dorrans and the port manor, the papers and bad press they get) do you really think they would be that stupid? These lads are not idiots and I can almost assure you that it wasn't a HF member who threw a coin. Also remembering that if the culprit was wearing a black jacket then it doesn't necessarily mean they are HF. Re aeroplane gestures: this is a short one. The rules were simple, anyone found doing this in the block would have been removed by HF members. These guys are not what people make out. Anyone with any doubts about them or who continuously slate them maybe come down when they are setting out the next display. Have a look before you judge the book by its cover. "Re aeroplane gestures: this is a short one. The rules were simple, anyone found doing this in the block would have been removed by HF members." The HF make rules for the whole block? They double up as stewards too?

About time this thread ended hey ladies? It seems to have turned into a slagging off match between the supporters. It also seems that the HF seem to be escape goats for any borderline behaviour. Of course throwing coins is wrong as it's a waste of money throwing them at the hooker f***1ng w@nker Rooney (Obviously has some mummy issues going on). I never saw any plane gestured & I was next to B block. I never heard the away London supporters as they were drowned out all game long.
Back to the question of someone 'conducting' the HF - seems an incredible waste of money to buy a ticket and then not even watch the game, but perhaps that tells you all you need to know about the 'ultras' - that the football doesn't really matter. Is there really any need for this? I'm sure everybody knows what the poster meant. I wasn't aware that this site was only for the gramatically correct, I thought it was for football/ Palace discussions, not "lets take the pi*s out of somebody because they are not as eloquent as you". And while I'm hear, what differance does it make if someone decides to stand with their back to the game? Does it affect you in any way? Just like the person who watches the game quitely from a corporate box, not my cup of tea, but if you pay your money you are intitled to watch/not watch the game in any manner you choose. Hardly a question of eloquence - stupidity, yes.
Oh, and thank you for not picking me up on the HEAR.

I hope CPFC find and catch the (coin) tosser, as for the HF trying to put off a corner taker and the brief chants about Moyes...

Just as a suggestion, as the HF seem to get tarred with the same brush whenever there's trouble in block B. Would it not be beneficial for them to switch to a block on the other side of the lower Holmesdale? It could work in everyone's favour as they'd spread the singing and perhaps increase the atmosphere? I could never give you an answer to that, but I'm almost sure they wouldn't move. I'm not being rude in anyway towards you, I'm just trying to make a point and I'm not too sure how to word it. It's like somebody suggesting you move to the other end of the ground because on one particular occasion there was an idiot sitting 10 rows behind you who threw a coin. You might have sat in your seat for many years. Do you understand what I'm trying to say? Plus I would love to see members of the HF standing in front of every block, all four stands, trying to get the whole ground going!

"I was really angry because you've got guys who worked through the night on Friday night, they have worked really hard on that display. "They've spent hundreds, thousands of hours getting that display right and you turn on Match of the Day and they don't even mention it, all you see is some t**t throwing a coin at Wayne Rooney. "One idiot has screwed it up for everybody else and it makes me so angry. I hope somebody turns him in because he's not welcome at Selhurst Park." Spot on in my book. Completely agree also. If as many hours went in to that display as SB says plus the donations of ALL supporters that paid for it is a great shame that the recognition was not given where it was fully due. I was told that Sky cameras showed the display for a few seconds but was it mentioned at all? If not it makes the coin throwing even more disappointing

I wonder how many of the coin throwers will be w*nking themselves silly if Rooney is in-form during the World Cup. I would guess very few, especially if you cast your mind back and his comments coming off the pitch and out of his spud faced pube encrusted hole after the Algeria game, to people who had spent thousands and probably given up jobs to watch him disinterestly drag his fat sweaty pasty multi millionaire carcass around the pitches of South Africa As for coins - meh..it happens and worse happened back in the dark old days of the 70's and 80's - as has been pointed out CCTV will probably pick people out and they will get banned so why some of the over the top handwringing posts I dont know. Although it does seem its given ammo to those on here about our support who seem to have some agenda Far more damaging to football is the object of the copper being hurled has been given a contract worth 300k a week basic.... Edited by The Sash (24 Feb 2014 11.54am) The best sentence on this entire thread of drivel! I'm genuinely interested to know why you would think Palace fans have an agenda against a very vocal and passionate (albeit small) faction of the support if they haven't done anything whatsoever to be ashamed of. Without wishing to prolong this thread...there are currently 17pages based on a few coins; lazy assumptions that it was the HF and name calling all of which brings out the same old faces on here; like flies round s***.

To be fair the support from the HF throughout the season has been amazing the banners were excellent today. However why o why would you embarrass the club in this way. looked like a bunch of Wall fans trying to act hard. I'm guessing it was HF as that's were they usually sit/stand. Please don't embarrass our club like that again. Rant over Why assume it's HF? Didn't assume I said "i,m guessing" whether it was or wasnt them it was wrong. The coins came from that general area. As for those that say Selhurst would be like a library if the HF were not there, what do you think went on before the HF? Trust me its been as loud or louder in the past 30 years ive been going.
