Hull play their 2nd team and win 2-0, with all main players rested and no injuries. Excellent

They played Southend not Wigan!

Granted but we played a few first teamers and they played a second string side

Hull have a better squad. The Palace squad is full of championship players and it's no surprise that we struggle to beat championship sides away from home. That's why it's even more important we stay up this season because otherwise we won't be back in the PL for a while.

Agreed and the question has to be why ?

The answer has be that Palace haven't spent enough on transfers or wages and Steve Bruce is a good manager.

At 1-1 everyone's fine, then we lose and McCarthy's s***, Wilbraham needs shooting and Palace are crap.

Quite sickening reading this s*** on a match day. Hopefully any match I can't get to will have a live thread for the rest of the season so that I won't have to endure this again.

to be fair...in my eyes everything wasnt fine at 1-1.

we certainly didnt deserve that goal...and the whole team looked uninterested.

jerome & chamakh were an absolute shambles, and the rest of the team wernt much better.

if we had got a draw out of that game wigan wouldav quite rightly felt robbed.

I really hope never to see Jerome in a Palace shirt again. lazy and brings nothing. At least Wilbrahim puts in a performance and trys hard. For minutes on the pitch Jerome and Wilbs have scored the same amount of goals. Says it all.

There's nothing wrong with our manager. His record for us so far shows that. He is good enough to keep a team in the premiership as he has proved already. Problem is bar 4 or 5 players he is working with a Championship standard squad.

And thats more worrying because Wilbraham is utter dog s***.

If you've been following the Hull "Tigers" story then you will know that Mt Allam(?) has spent over £70m in the last couple of years. That's the answer.

I don't want to see Jerome again either...but we've gotta be honest, even Jerome is twice the player wilbs will ever be.

I agree that Pulis is a good manager but he didn't start the job until the end of November which is nearly half way through the season.

Palace were at near full strength today yet got knocked out by a Championship outfit, the fact that the side Wigan put out today was near to one that got relegated, what does that say about us, while I really have faith in our side and think we have done well, the nearer we get to the transfer deadline, I can see us making panic buys .

We were never going to win at Wigan. They were a team unlucky to be relegated and we were a team fortunate to get promoted on the back of three good games at the end of the season . The only difference between premier and Championship are the dozen or so games against the big boys , just enjoy .

Nothing much game, a shame, but a cup run is probably not in our best interests league wise.

Just seen the highlights on the tele and it looked like we had some good efforts on goal.

I realise that it is the keepers job to keep out shots but we do seem to have come up against them when they are really on form. I'm thinking of today, Man City and the two excellent saves by the Arsenal keeper. It'd be nice to come up against a keeper who has an off day.
