I hope we don't expend too much oxygen in trying to get this deal done as it could be a long drawn out experience, depending on whether Bony leaves and when. I seem to remember we tried to sign Bendtner on loan under similar circumstances and that came to nowt.

We were a little bit inexperienced when we tried to bring NB in. I think (hope) we'll be a little more succinct in our transfer dealings now with Pards in place. Edited by Brentmiester_General (09 Jan 2015 9.16pm)

Sky Sports GOMIS LEAVING LIBERTY? Bafetimbi Gomis has fuelled speculation over his future by saying he wants to play in the Champions League and his agent has been speaking to “one very big club”. Gomis joined Swansea City on a free transfer from Lyon last summer and was expected to be their first-choice striker if Wilfried Bony joins Manchester City. However, he told ESPN FC: “I know clubs have been speaking to my agent and my agent has been speaking to one very big club so we will see what happens. “I believe I could do a job for most clubs and like any player I want to play in the Champions League. There is more to come from me and I just want to play regularly.” Interesting, maybe liverpool? but i dont think they will make top 4 this year.

And no way is he worth 9.25 million as those "creative" fountains of knowledge at The Sun claim he is.
"Look at that. Accident blackspot? These aren't accidents! They're throwing themselves into the road gladly! Throwing themselves into the road to escape all this hideousness!" |

These players do amaze me, wants to play champions league, but doesn't get in the Swansea team? I take it champions league would be with another European team? Ain't going to be with anyone in England? When first heard we were interested, I was pretty excited, not sure now? What I have seen of him over the Christmas break. Would rather see Defoe or Lambert come in.
Just when I thought that I was out...........they pull me back in |

Looked good on what little I saw of the MOTD highlights which I appreciate isn't much to go on. Rumour that with Bony going Swansea are looking at Papis Cisse - which still might leave a door open for us with Gomis

I didn't realise Gomis was 29 years old. 7 million or higher seems too much, especially as he is unproven in the premier league as well.

Reported in the times that we are edging closer to £8 million required to sign him.
