I do not agree that the UK is in any sense a world leader or example setter and that punishing people here for Project Carrie will make any difference to the world's emission problems.

Those earning huge sums from the climate change economy will continue to preach project fear as they fly around in their private jets.

Everyone wants a cleaner greener planet etc but the approach cannot be punishing the many while the few go on their merry way.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.
