I've stayed away from this thread. After all the incompetence of the current government ought to be obvious to everyone, beaten only by the incompetence of the opposition. However, the attacks on Blair need a rebuttal. Tony Blair was exactly what we needed at the time he took office, and if was available what we now need. He is a centralist. A realist who understands that social democracy is the only practical way forward and that we need to do so with our European friends. He even managed Bush well and has been very unfairly treated over what happened in Iraq. Since the Labour Party committed political suicide in choosing Corbyn, the Blair legacy has been dismantled and allowed the stupid wing of the Tories to take over. It's really quite sad. Impressive

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

Starmer and many Labour Shadow Cabinet members and of course Ed Davey refuse to answer the question. More important than the virtue signalling is when the issue starts to affect real things such as military recruitment, people losing jobs etc. Thankfully there are some groups that will help people who suffer from victimisation. Fair Cop and The Free speech Union are good advocates. It is ridiculous that a tiny percentage of people shouting loudly can cause so much trouble. Stonewall are rightly being called out by proper activists such as Peter Tatchell. The scandal of the Tavistock will cost taxpayers millions and many poor young people have been wrongly told they have " gender dysphoria ". All very depressing really

I"m not entertaining sir Keir HK, he should have said a mans a man and a womans a woman- and should have welcomed his party members standing on a picket line! He"s a useless cnut, but again- with the even worse bunch in for the past 12 years I would give him or anybody else the job to get rid of them- imagine lizzy as our new leader! The CONservatives are going big on woke as people with a gullable nature fall for it and drink it in, they are more worried about a trans man/lady getting two women pregnant in an american prison- than the fact thousands could die due to 12 years of incompetence by bungle and his useless cabinet- die of cold and hunger/malnourishment in little britain 2022! They are using woke nonsense as something for you to rally behind, and you are! I call a man a man, a woman a woman, and those that want to be a woman although are a man i dont mind calling them by a female name if i worked with one, but knowing they are really a man, but have issues that i wouldnt want myself! So just to say for everyone once more, just because im not falling for this CONservative lunacy, the thickest bunch ever to run the country, doesn"t mean I support Sir Keir, he"s nearly as useless as the current government- although probably a bit more honest, but a cnut all the same- just not as big a cnut as the members of cabinet ! Sadly politics of all shades are currently terrible, used to be a calling, now it's a career.

Lockdown was a week late-bungle wanted to prove we dont listen to the EU, they said lock down-he said go forth and multiply at the pub and cheltenjam- until the virus hit, yhen a week later bungle was saying stay in or youre fined! I didnt lock down and went out working every single day- but for some vulnerable it worked, i seem to remember you wernt to happy at lockdown. Ukraines tricky, i feel like lots of the ultra right on here that maybe putin has a case, but not going about it the way he has. im all for Ukraine pushing them back if they can- whats your take on Ukraine Rudi?

Nobody was ever under virtual house arrest, were they? We were all permitted to take exercise, just so long as we observed common sense rules and showed discipline. I was probably luckier than most, as I had miles of country walks on my doorstep, but everyone had the opportunity to get outside and stretch their legs. It didn't last for that long, either, as the rules relaxed as soon as the better weather arrived. Complaining about some important public health moves, when the individual impact wasn't really that great, indicates to me how some are just not team players.

Never mind that your business has gone bust. You could always go for a walk. While you're out enjoying that you can reflect on how your kids' education has gone be to pot.

How businesses/schooling were handled is an entirely different issue. The issue here was solely being confined to your home.

The issue here is that lockdown went on quite long enough, and longer in Scotland than in England, without anyone claiming it should have been longer.

Quite funny Teddy, but on a serious note, if bungle had gone along with the EU experts, and locked down immediately, instead of encouraging going to the pub and 60000 at Cheltenham, the virus wouldn"t have spread so quick, thousands would still be alive today, and the lock down would have been shorter- as less people would have suffered, food for thought bungle!
