Okay, I got the Treaty wrong: the Lisbon Treaty 2009? was the twice one - around only a year between them. I voted no the first time - it was done again. I didn't bother voting as it was clear what the agenda was. Have the referendum until we get the correct result.
Further referendums on europe were then pointless as the no people couldn't be bothered anymore.
I'm interested to see how the Govt will force a European army on Ireland - with neutrality enshrined in the constitution and all that.
Expect an interesting referendum there - or perhaps none at all.
I will admit though, Europe seems to be largely positive for Ireland - except for the years of austerity . Judging by the homeless crisis and the Hard Border threats it seems that Europe is not so enamoured by the Irish anymore.
There is a large difference between Ireland and the UK so far, however, the main one being economic and fiscal. Irealnd has got more back than it has ever put in (although with new accession states this will change). The UK has always paid out more than it received with rebates either given away through concessions or not given for various reasons.
The best bill to the UK from Europe was the bill on the Black economy - funny how the UK was the only country to be full of whore-mongerers and coke heads. Another example of keeping those evil Brits in line. Because Germany and France are a shining example to us all - whereas obviously Britain (perhaps only England) are ingrates.
Despite the fact of having worked all over Europe for 20 years and from personal observation seeing the nationalism in other countries in Europe seem stronger in many other European nations.
No Five Star, Le Front National and only the odd Nazi in England. Loads in Eastern and central Europe - and in Germany and France. But best forget about that as there are clearly going to be no choices for people in these countries: not while there is money to be made anyway.

Switzerland’s supreme court has overturned a nationwide referendum for the first time in the country’s modern history, on the grounds that the information given to voters was insufficient.
