The couple of things done referenced by parish may refer to this chap from St Mirren.

It wouldn’t surprise if Palace., let Mateta go ,if only on loan. And if they do then surely with the Butland move to United and the long list of under twenty ones out on loan there has to be more than enough room to bring in first team improvements.

It Mateta goes on loan or sold we have to bring in a CF, Wilf or Eduoard cant play with their back to the goal, and Ayew is not good enough, we have, luka, jairo as a bit of cover until the end of the season, same with Clyne/Ward but no CF

I was more concerned at the bit that said that Parish and Textor met on Thursday to discuss transfer targets. The chairman should be responsible for the running of the company and not deciding on player transfers. Likewise Textor is a non executive director and the pair of them should be discussing funding and not footballing matters that neither are qualified to discuss. I would be happier if I read that the chairman was meeting up with the Sporting Director and Manager to discuss forthcoming transfers

Textor was at the game on Wednesday, so I would be surprised if he didn't have a meeting with Parish. This could all just be media spin. However, Textor did publicly call out Alan Nixon earlier this month after the journalist said we wouldn't buy anyone in January, which adds credence to the claim he wants to spend. Nonetheless, Parish has earned our support, whereas Textor is a stranger whose intentions are not clear and who is not solely focused on us. Steve knows the club inside out so I trust him more at this stage. As they say, not all that glitters is gold.
