Facebook, the manipulater of many? Do you honestly believe that Facebook is in any way bloody 'honest' given their history? As always, you're bleeding clueless. What you, or I believe is totally beside the point. They own the ball, so they make the rules. If you don't like it don't use FB. Use an alternative. Whether they deserve to face greater regulation in the future is another issue.

Of course some things are factual. No-one can deny that but what is tricky is proving they are. When you scratch below so many surfaces all that's often left are opinions. I was 75 yesterday. It's a fact because I have my birth certificate. Hang on though. Although I was there I have no recollection so am relying on my parents and the registrar to have got it right. It was war time. Things got mixed up and delayed. Is it a fact? Probably but not certainly. I presume that you think it's those who disagree with you who are "brainwashed". Whilst I think the precise opposite. Now is either of them a fact? No not necessarily. Opinion is just opinion, but if it purposefully ignores facts in order to misrepresent, then it becomes more than just ignorance or a different point of view but a wilful deception.

Opinion is just opinion, but if it purposefully ignores facts in order to misrepresent, then it becomes more than just ignorance or a different point of view but a wilful deception. What makes you think I don't accept that? I think it is very likely that there will be occasions when facts are obscured to avoid consequences that are considered against the national interest. What I don't believe is that the judiciary would be involved or that politicians would ever try to influence them. I think the security forces might conceal information, or even spread disinformation, in attempts to confuse or flush out those with malign intentions. Nor do I believe that any government will directly interfere with social media platforms. They might drop hints, and express concerns, but ultimately the decisions rest with the private companies themselves who will be mindful of the need to comply with the law whilst building their business model.

You talk about facts and opinions being different, but your view on the judiciary or the sources of influence are purely opinion in an arena where facts are deliberately obliterated from view.

The religion of peace in full swing. It's well known that a large percentage of Muslims think homosexuality should be illegal. There are many who think it should be punishable by death. Amongst other beliefs incompatible with Western Culture.

Just googled this 'NPC' nonsense. Hahahaha, f*cking hell. You lot are actual man children. So true. Those that use this kind of playground language say so much more about themselves than ever they do about their intended targets. All it says to me is that they have run out of answers, so resort to childish insults. In a nursery any child behaving like that would have to take a time out on the naughty step to reflect on their behaviour. Doesn't seem to happen here though. You can find it in the USA all the time in groups of tiny brained Trumpkins.(see, I can come down to that level too!) It's sad though to see people here imitating them. We are better than that. Or most of us are.

The religion of peace in full swing. It wasn't though "the religion of peace in full swing" was it? It was a homophone in full swing who drew her reasoning from her interpretation of a religion. Many people, from many religions, are homophobic. We are gradually winning the battle of ideas with many of them. Clearly not yet all though. That it seems there is further to go with certain interpretations of Islam, and certain cultural groupings who are of Islamic origins, doesn't mean you give up the battle of ideas. It means you must redouble the efforts, remain patient and gradually allow the sense of western values to penetrate the shell of intolerance. Defeatism combined with no alternative strategy is no answer. Moans and groans get us nowhere at all.

Some second and third generation immigrants don't even speak English.
