I spoke in the context that the only transfers left would be Zaha out and Brewster (or Osay Samuel) in. Last season we were just 1 step away from relegation. Worst scoring team in the league. We are definitely relegation candidates with about 9 other teams (for 3 places) even if Zaha stays. With Zaha gone, we are frontrunners. Zaha contributes to 10-20 goals per season (depending on his season). A 21 year old will contribute to 2-10 goals and given that this is what they did in the Championship, I wouldn't expect more from Eze or Brewster in the top league. We need to be patient with them. But also,if Zaha were to go, he should be replaced by someone at his level. Last season we were effectively safe by week 29 - 40 points is a myth. Don't disagree that we are candidates this time but so are another 10 teams. A lot to be said for stability and established team ethic and not a random transfer policy bringing in 12 newbies as you typically call for. It is a team game - something RH recognises. Haven't bothered to check what you've been suggesting this year.

Why do people have to be negative, it’s been clear for a while that Palace needed more attacking minded players that can create as this has been an issue over the last few seasons. Absolutely this means you could concede more but we have a solid back 5 when all fit. It’s been a good window let’s get behind the club instead of keep trying to find fault. Totally agree,a good window and thank you dazza for your excellent insight, much appreciated.

Batshauyi, benrahma and/or BOS and Bella ketchup for me would be fantastic
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Curious about these links to Benrhama. You would think that with the fee it will take that this is either a clue to Zaha leaving or the fact we have loaned a striker this season the striker budget has now been made available for a different position. My guess would be that Zaha is potentially leaving...but that’s just my guess.

I am baffled because you say we should sign young players from abroad who would offer so much but seem to suggest those who have played in the Championship would not.
