Unfortunately one of the worst things of living in Australia is not being able to get to a game very often. I used to attend a good few games a season and miss it dearly. The main thing for me about going is the atmosphere! Watching every game live here for the last few years has been great and hearing the fantastic noise/atmosphere at Selhurst has had me itching to get back for a game. The commentators comment every game how great the noise is. This season however it's been painfully obvious that the atmosphere is dead! Away fans are heard much more and there are long periods of virtual silence. Anyone who says this isn't a bad thing is crazy! Much of the clubs advertising is based on our "fantastic" atmosphere. Well it's dead. Unless the rest of the crowd are going to start and join in with more singing we need the HF back asap! I'm over for the wolves game and to be honest not looking forward to it as much as i would if the HF were still there. If only we could get Selhurst rocking like Crystanbul again! That was my best game at Selhurst. I was in the main stand and we were even rocking in there, absolutely brilliant. Now we're just another average (if that) premier league atmosphere. Maybe We became reliant on the HF to create and sustain the noise and now it looks like everybody is just lost and doesnt know what to do, apart from the odd rendition of eaglesss eaglesss. I hope it's sorted soon because regardless of what some say, we've lost something special at the moment and we need it back.

I was drawn to Palace because of the atmosphere, it was special and still may be but watching games this year you can definitely see the drop off. I'll be coming from Philadelphia for the Spurs game in Nov and I can't help but be a little disappointed as I was really looking forward to an electric atmosphere. Either way I'll always support the Palace. Hopefully this gets worked out. I've been allotted tickets in Block B. so I guess the HF won't be there by Nov. COYP from Philly.

So does this mean that they'll be returning to their usual spot for the rest of this season?
We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold... |

Interesting statement as it makes no reference to HF at all but merely to a singing section

"weighing up all the views and opinions" That is hardly a consultation with those directly affected (and I don't just mean those that will be displaced). I hope Parish is not basing any decision on that petition, as it's been signed by more Brighton (and other club's supporters) than Palace fans. Also, I hope that he knows what he's doing with respect to ground safety regulations; a closed Holmesdale Lower would be an ill-wind that blows no one any good.
Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

I think they have left it open for ordinary fans that want to move to the lower holmesdale and be part of noise at Selhurst Park. The HF Fair play - now let’s get this home form sorted and climb up the premier league
