Quite agree, use him as a part exchange on a younger more skilled striker who must be out there somewhere! The issue is that he can always just say “no thanks” and no club in their right mind will match the wages we are paying him. So basically we’re stuck with him for the duration.

He's not the only one either. Few of our players have any real re-sale value; except the obvious two or three. Unless we buy three or four decent players, I struggle to see how we will stay up next season. There will have to be three s*** teams for us to make it in our current shape.

Well done CB, hope it's the start of something good
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

Should sell him back to Villa and get Glenn Murray'd again.

I rather have Benteke than waste £4 mln on Ayew.I think he does work hard at winning and holding up the ball ,no one else has managed that this season for us when we are trying to break

Now the pressure is off, give him 90 mins for the last 3 games to get his confidence back up and ready for next season. If he can ever find his form again, he’ll be a real asset

Benteke, remember, scored 19 goals for Villa and 15 for us,effectively keeping usup in his first season. Has huge potential for us next season now he has his medical issues behind him.

Benteke is like most strikers in that he needs quality service. Add in shocking defending, and you have a very strong goal chance. He missed a hatful of those last year, and while he allowed the keeper to get a hand on it, he converted what was a gilt edged chance yesterday created by an absolutely perfect ball in and non existent marking. It was a strong, strong goal chance and would have been a terrible miss. Don’t get me wrong though, he has missed many of them in the de boer and Hodgson era. With his second goal chance he showed his recent woes by hitting it into row z. The only way this gets sorted out is game time and now that we are safe it is clear Hodgson understands he must play the guy as giving minutes to Batshuayi now is crazy. What I have never understood about Hodgson is when he has Benteke out there he barely gets the crosses in. One thing tekkers never stopped doing was winning headers, it’s just about getting them on target these days.
Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha. |

He did alright against Arsenal, one just about every dual in the air yesterday, and a terrific knock down for Wilf to run onto.. Deserved his goal and could have notched a second.

Broken Benteke back to spending our money and time on trifles. to the argument that 'he may not himself score, but he ruffles feathers in the final third and enables other Eagles to score'.....i have one statistic from today.
