wrong. People ( including insurance providers) discriminate for genetic stuff to do with downs syndrome, cystic fibrosis, and many other illnesses whereby its fatal if both parents carry the gene - i disapprove of discrimination but it does happen out there. nothing to do with race. religion should also have nothing to do with Race. The two are completely separate. Culture is likewise not to be confused with Race. It can be criticised where it strays from good or ethical best practice. In the case of English Culture...binge drinking can be a problem. In the case of some overseas cultures FGM is clearly unacceptable. So call me a racist then ? That would make you prejudiced. Edited by PalazioVecchio (15 Oct 2018 3.33pm) I agree with your arguments but look at what I'm responding to. Of course genetic disorders are distinguishable and scientifically observable. What no scientist has ever proved - dare I say even posed seriously - is there is any genetic sequence in national communities. Genes take thousands of years to observable mutate. Englishness as an identity is at most 500 years old, and probably wasn't used by the majority of people on these islands until the late 18th century. Yet despite this you have a minority who have claimed it as an identity, shut off others with opposing identities and now are arrogantly parading their circumstantial definition of Englishness as if it's scientific fact. We are a migrant nation. I'm not just talking 1066 and beyond, I'm talking about the Huguenots, the Irish, colonial citizens...people who all came here in great numbers, were the subjects of racism and xenophobia from much of the population, buy who have for the most part assimilated and contributed enormously to Britain today.

You are correct – but the migration was small numbers over hundreds of years with everyone adopting the same culture. It's simply not comparable to immigration levels of the latter 20th century. I am pro immigration but want the government to properly control it so there is real social cohesion and enough public services for all.

Look at the group photo's from refugee centres etc. Its nearly all disaffected young men. A few million of these into Europe can only upset the gender-balance applecart. You seen what's happening in Sweden these days ? forget about Race. Just for a gender politics viewpoint its a clusterf...ck.

That it's bullsh*t? Less than 0.1% of our genes affect variation between the human population. The number that distinguish different ethnicities is miniscule. You lot defend English culture and its heritage for science, yet are so quick to fall back on pseudoscientific bollocks to justify the differences you see in people, even when those differences are less than 0.1% of the genetic variation of life on earth? Also, I've spent years being rebuked on this site when I call you racists, because it's 'cultural'. But now we see you all arguing there is some biological difference between English people and those from other countries? This is just Nazi levels of stupidity now... Why do you waste your own time? Most of what you say is irrelevant codswallop. You argue this nonsense because you have no real argument for what actually matters.

What is your position on the nation state and what is your position on immigration?
