Ha ha. So it's OK for Britain to fill up with Europeans as long as those Europeans aren't aging expats.
At least they contributed years of national insurance while they lived here, unlike the millions who have been here for five minutes.

Give me a young, hard working immigrant over an ageing expat any day. Less of a drain on the NHS, for one thing, and still working (and thus paying taxes) for another.

In a perfect world Britain would be filled with people willing to work hard and contribute- regardless of nationality- with all our white, British benefit claiming chavs shipped off overseas somewhere, and swapped for some hard working foreigners. But we don't live in a perfect world.

And also, how long should you expect to be in a country, working and contributing, to be considered 'one of us'? 6 months? 6 years? Or never? Immigration is not a black and white issue (no pun intended!)

The biggest pressure on our services is millions of people refusing to die at 80 and thinking they have every right to go on until there are 95. Staying in houses and flats that the younger generations could have and taking up hospital time. Fatsos and smokers are up there in the blame stakes too.

So if you are old, fat and smoke - you b@stard.

How very dare you!...

So all those people who probably worked hard all their lives to have a little place in the sun and contributed to our national insurance system for many years are not wort a jot in your eyes and don't deserve hospital treatment. And then you wish to reduce the working class of the country to a stereotype.

I don't like your world thanks.

The actual Hrolf came from Scandinavia and went on to become ruler of Normandy.

I certainly have some Normans in my family tree but I also have a lot of other people as well. I have not done one of those DNA test things but I expect my genes are much the same as many other Brits.

There is some doubt as to whether Rollo, the Scandinavian who took over Normandy and was William the Conqueror's great great great grandfather, was the same person as the Norweigian Ganger Hrolf.

Seems DNA tests are being carried out with Ganger Hrolf's tomb in Normandy having been opened for this purpose!

Interesting though,in any event, to see the HOL Hrolf naming himself after the dynastic founder of a lineage containing such a prominent early exponent of union between European countries, albeit union against the will of the "English"

What's the problem with 1m higher level Turkish being able to visit Britain without a visa? They won't all be booking the same flight or knocking at your door the following morning. They'll be spending their dosh here too.

Turkey fails in many areas for the basic criteria needed to be able to join and those areas are not going to be suitably adjusted anytime soon. You are ScaremongeringIsNotGood.

Kermit tell me you are at least middle-aged, work hard for a living, support your kids through uni etc and not some spotty teenager living off the bank of dad under their roof?
