This is not to debate the merits or the validity of his choices. I agree with a lot of this. And whilst I cant understand some of decisions, Pat must either thing these guys are better, or as you said is making a point. I thought both JPM and OE added something when they came on. Even yesterday, brining on Tomkins over Richards just feels a little odd. And sure its a tight game and Tompkins has tonnes of PL experience. But if I was Richards, I'd be wondering why I was signed if I was rated behind a creaking, injury prone Tomkins.

So Vieira's record. Season 1 finished 12th. Our 4th best result since our return and our 3rd best points total. We transitioned away from the premierships oldest squad. We recorded the second best goals for and for the first time had a positive goal difference. Before Chelsea we were two points better off this year than last. (not sure the stat after Chelsea). We lost two midfielders in the summer and had another out with injury completely, and sold a striker - something like 70 appearances and 25 subs. We replaced them with one player who was first team ready. In 5 seasons Hodgson bettered 12th once (11th) and bettered the points total once 49 v 48. Always good to get a bit of perspective. I suspect the immense frustration is because we know we are better then we are currently playing. Losing narrowly to Chelsea away wouldn't really be a problem if we hadn't recently lost to beatable teams. There is frustration at the owners for not seemingly keen to invest in the squad, especially compared to our peers. And at the manager for playing the same team even in the face of defeat after defeat.

Wasn't sure where to post this, but, seeing as it involves Palace, Olise, Textor & Lyon as well being a 'click-bait' piece, i thought id put it in the 'Rumours' thread Mods feel free to move if needed.
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn |

Over 600 mins without scoring a goal from open play (I beleive).
