Yeh, that Klopp bloke’s rubbish too. No prem wins in 5, 2 losses, 3 draws and only one goal scored. I bet they want Roy back.... not.

Dolphin - I am in agreement.

I know Bournemouth got relegated eventually- but what he achieved there was fairytale stuff. Not by buying his way to year on year promotions , but having a proactive mentality to each game and let’s face it playing some really good stuff in the process.
Don’t forget he also laid the foundation for Dyche’s early success at Burnley too - and should the worst happen he’d be the ideal person to get us back up.
In addition he has an eye for quality young players and improving them. He has proven himself as a really good manager imo.

I’d introduce him to the set up now and start the succession process at the end of the season - hopefully we’ll stay up and he can take us into a new era in the Prem!

Eh? and he's me thinking that he had an unmitigated disaster at Burnley. Returning to Bournemouth with his tail between his legs. Don't think he laid anything up there, except from him missus from time to time (and even thats an assumption!)

not sure there's enough evidence to take any credit away from Dyche over what Burnley have achieved since his arrival.

Both Dyche and Howe will insist on managing all football related matters and I am not sure SP will allow this.

Howe was Mr Bournemouth and had completely his own way with respect to playing staff in and out, playing style and because of his own playing career had a slightly charmed life. I don't think he will want to come to Palace or should we want him as he will be a disaster.

Dyche I think will be a better bet, he has a proven record at building a side, gets the best out of players and making them play as a team. He has also worked on a low budget with sucess and sold players on for profit and reinvested the proceeds. Burnley's current League position is slightly false as they were financially unable to extend contracts at the end of last season. My reservation is can he work with SP ?

IIRC one of the Palace supporting journalists reported or tweeted that Dyche was interviewed in 2017 prior to Frank the W@nk's appointment.

Howe appears a poor judge of player. Understand that Ibe and Solanke were young and maybe had potential but Lerma is a shocker. He's sh1t.

Dyche was interviewed - he wouldn't come even if we wanted him.

Much as I delight in Liverpool's misery, I admire Klopp who stated that he was at fault and the responsibility was his. I cannot remember something like that coming from Roy, ever.

I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything.

A good point.
If anyone can find one direct quote from Hodgson ever acknowledging some personal responsibility for a defeat , a bad performance or wrong team selection I would be amazed.
Even a manager as arrogant as the serial winner Mourinho will occasionally acknowledge his mistakes.

I thought we played well up to the first goal, but of course at this level teams punish you if you try and park the bus and play with zero attacking intent. Overall, we were a bit unlucky today, if it wasn't for the 6% possession and no shots of target the result could have been very different, and in my eyes that thier second tap in was a worldie.

Sometimes, I just wish we had a world class talent like Harry Kane, then we might have someone who could deliver a corner.

I think it would be nice if some of the unused subs bought me a bottle of wine for allowing them to travel to Newcastle and watch that game on a freezing Tuesday night with no real prospect of ever coming on.

Presumably the runners in the field are narrowed down to Dyche and Howe because they have PL experience.
Interestingly none of Hassenhuttl, Dyche, Arteta, Smith, Potter, Lampard, Parker, Bielsa, Klopp, Guardiola, Wilder or Espirito Santo had PL experience before their current jobs.
I know DeBoer was a poor choice but when the change is made the club could be casting its net wider.
