Nationalising it is contrary to EU law. This has been posted on this page Gusset. Maybe so, but it doesn't negate my point that it was the most efficient and profitable prior to reprivatisation. Edited by nickgusset (07 Jun 2016 7.55pm)

You're missing the point, having just commented on my one post... as you usually do. I have been at pains to point out that Corbyn does himself and his party no favours at all by his actions, and completely doing a u turn on the EU after 40+ years of hostile criticism of it's bureaucracy makes him look stupid. Add in the railways nationalisation and he looks ridiculous. I don't think my argument is weak at all. I'm happy to continually criticise Corbyn and Cameron for u turning on their true beliefs about the EU and judging by the polls, I'm not alone in this as the Leave campaign is now ahead in at least one poll after being well behind in all of them previously. Edited by Hoof Hearted (07 Jun 2016 5.25pm) So what do you suggest Corbyn should've done? And I mean that as a genuine question. Because to me, it appears the alternative is to maintain his anti-EU mindset (which I believe he still does), ignore the opinions of the party he represents, and essentially put an end to his leadership of the party, and his political aspirations. His job is to represent the views of the party.

Don't get me wrong, I love it that he is single handedly destroying Labour's credibility and potential to ever govern again.... but be honest with him at the helm Labour are fcuked. It's as obvious to everyone as the situation was when Major took over from Thatcher that defeat was inevitable. If Corbyn cannot gain mainstream support from the voting public now whilst the Tories are in turmoil, he never will. Gusset - you are kidding yourself, not us, by continually bigging up Compo.... I mean Corbyn.

I mean Corbyn. But that's the flaw in your argument - his only realistic alternative is to resign, which (in his mind at least) is a worst option. The rest of what you've said is fairly generic anti-Corbyn rhetoric - I asked the question specifically in regards to his stance on the EU, as that was the part of your argument I disagreed with.

Thank you. I think hoof has answered many times over why Compo's sudden and dramatic U turn (biggest one since Nugent had a job getting out of sainsburys car park makes him and the party a laughing stock. You can't bang on vehemently for 40 odd years about how utterly shyte you think something is, to then, in the blink of an eye, change your tune to entirely the complete and utter polar opposite, without people questioning your motives for doing so. That and the fact he shagged that racist pig Abbott make him as trustworthy as a wolf baby sitting a chicken coup.

To be honest I think you are just arguing with me again for the sake of it. There is little point continuing to try and "Paxo" me as I've made myself abundantly clear to others, if not to you, and I don't really care if you agree with me or not quite frankly. Indeed dannyh's response on my behalf says all you need to know. Edited by Hoof Hearted (08 Jun 2016 1.29pm)
