Labour will spank the tories at the polls, the voters were going that way last time.

Remain will stuff leave in a referendum too, people are sick of it.

It is clinging to the wreckage to continue.

Not as sick as we are of reading your endless twaddle.

The fact that Labour are not miles ahead in popularity after two terms of the most useless Tory government ever speaks volumes about how little they trust Jeremy Corbyn and his incompetent shadow cabinet.

Despite being an ardent and active supporter of the Conservative Party, I am not someone who gives wholehearted support for every aspect concerning the party,I am quite willing to criticise the leader. There are some I have known over the years who will simply not find any fault at all and will openly express their support come-what-may.

I recall that Kenneth Clarke, believing he was off-air saying that Theresa May was a bloody awkward woman and that he had worked with Margaret Thatcher - I understand what he means !

May is awful and Kenneth Clarke is little better.

They are only Tories economically.

My favourite brie cheese actually is tesco's finest from Cornwall.

Just shows how patriotic remainers are.

But I thought you were a remainer. From many of your posts on here I do not consider you to be very patriotic but that is only my opinion

May's plan doesnt have free movement of people after the transition period.

A customs union is not the same as single market, or common market participation. So the customs union plan by definition does not mean automatic free movement of people.

Single market of course does mean free movement.

Masters of destiny, is a bit harder to quantify.

The irony of all this is that given how our parliamentary processes are totally unable to cope with the last 3 years, and we have the biggest shambles in Westminster that any of us have ever seen.......you really want UK politicians MORE power??

Don't bet on it! Cant go into details but watch this space.

Theresa May has said that she will go after we leave the EU and before the next round of talks.

The end is nigh and I and many of my Tory chums can look forward to a Brexiteer leader of the party.
There are a few brexiteers in her Cabinet - maybe they will decide to resign or stay on in the knowledge that she will be gone to be replaced by one of their own.Situation fluid.

I have already been contacted by local Brexiteers who are hyperventilating at the announcement.

Hope so Willo but my concern is that there are so many Remainers with influence in the Tory party that this may not be cut and dried.
I do agree with a previous poster that should we remain in a customs Union or take a Norway style model, we may as well stay in. If this is the case I will continue to vote but it will most definately be a protest vote (probably won't help as I live in a staunch Tory constituency but it will make me feel better!)

If anything I'd say that Corbyn is less pro EU than May, it's just that his party isn't. It's a weird time, and if anything May should've either adopted a no compromise hard Brexit position to begin with, or brought all parties into the fold to thrash something out.

Correct but he has fallen in line with his party. As for May she has always been a remainer and I think the way she appears to have sabotaged Brexit proves it.

It's such a ridiculous statement for her to make. People voted for a myriad of different reasons, and there is absolutely no deal that she can scrape together that will keep everybody happy. The liars of the leave campaign are entirely to blame for this continued farce.

So no-one on the Remain side lied?? Remainers from both sides of the House are totally responsible as they could not bring themselves to accept the result of the referendum

I wonder if "the economy will collapse as soon as the referendum is over if leave wins" rings any bells. Not one of George Osborne's finest pronouncements
