I think Peter Butterworth would be a good Bojo or maybe that short *rse Brexiteer, and god help us if Corbyn gets in, he couldn't organise a food bank or a six week delay to universal credit or boast about how many jobs there are when so many are min wage and zero hero contract, oh yes a socialist govt is terrifying in the face of the magnificent work done since 2010 with giants like Michael Gove, Ian Duncan Smith, Rees Mogg and these other aliens waiting to turn our land into one of milk and honey with their huge talent - there'll be an election and the bottom line will emerge, it will be a remain or leave election, and don't worry about Corbyn, there'll be a coup to get rid of him as soon as the opportunity arises.

This situation has been engineered. I really can't see anyone on the blue benches wanting an election as they have already messed up one and arguing against their own party is one thing but the turkeys won't be voting for Christmas as too many of them will be fearful of losing their seats as the public will (rightly or wrongly) blame them for the mess that we are in

The Tories either get rid of her today, by indicating that they will back a no-confidence motion which I suspect trumps any attraction an offer of talks might hold for Corbyn or their effective demise as a political party is a nailed on. The anger out there is real. The local parties are up in arms, there are people cutting up membership cards by the hundreds, if not thousands, and even the most sycophantic MP out there must know it is game over for them. They have one last roll of the dice. Crash the Government, purge their ranks of any Remainer/Pro-May MP's, stick Boris in charge and fight a GE on the basis that we leave with No Deal. Thats it. No more subtleties at play here, no smoke and mirrors, just a cold, hard reality. If May stays then Brexit is over. As simple as that. Corbyn will have to put in a pre-condition of a second referendum with a question that is essentially fixed to ensure we remain. And I cannot see how this was anything else other than planned from the outset. Her 'deal' was never going to fly. It needed DUP support and that backstop was a guarantee of that. Only logical conclusion to reach. I got why the EU wanted it but her even bringing it back to the table made no sense what so ever. Never believed in any of this 'Deep State' nonsense but if she is not got by end of play today, or the Tories have not acted descively to get rid of her by openly stating they no longer have any confidence in her then it makes me seriously doubt the point in investing anymore time in our political system. Because it is a fix. Has to be. Lots of Remainers were smugly quiet about us never leaving. I always dismissed them as fools but perhaps it is people like me who are the naive ones? Because if she is allowed to do what she is trying to do then the UK is dead and buried. The Union will simply cease to exist within the next 20 years because what will be the point?

Well yesterday I suggested that they will always find another way to betray us and that was probably the only thing I got right in my predications. As a Tory I don't blame the Labour party the blame is firmly with Mrs May and the way she has handled this from the start. Corbyn is now the man of the hour his only concern will be is this a clever Tory trap, well I don't think it is she' too stupid and stubborn for that. Whilst I blame her I also blame the senior Tories lots of off the record bitching but why have they not resigned from the government. As Matov has suggested Tory voters are in meltdown over this. I am all for compromise but that is not the same as surrender, Corbyn's plan is not Brexit. If you have to side with the opposition against the majority of your own party it really is time to go. Anyway "send in the clowns, don't bother their here". Edited by Badger11 (03 Apr 2019 7.40am)

Just listened to that betrayal live. Oliver Letwin interviewed on Radio 4. Incredible. Almost amusing in a bizarre sort of way to hear everything you most dreaded being articulated by somebody masquerading as a Conservative. He was actually praising Corbyn as a reasonable man. A man who openly backs terrorists, a man who observed a minutes silence for IRA scum-bags. And Letwin was singing his praises. If May is still in office by this time tomorrow then it is all over. Brexit is done and dusted. As are the Tories.
