Is Scott Dann still with the club? If Riedewald is played as central midfielde, I expect one of Meyer or McCarthy to leave so there will be 2 players in each position.
As has been said, Riederwald has been one of our best performers in pre-season in a CDM role.

Zaha is actually 2/1 now to join Everton but Brewster is also 2/1 to join palace so definitely something is happening with both players someone knows something

Meyer isn’t likely to play in CM. He has played out wide in the Eze role when Eze hasn’t been fit. I’d imagine he will stay as cover unless we get an offer in.

Dazza said a couple of weeks ago that we were looking to buy a striker and not loan one so as we have just loaned a striker I assume that there is money left in the kitty for a major purchase. It would be nice if someone from the club would explain in detail how FFP is affecting us as it's coming over as a bit of a handy excuse

I appreciate both have larger stadiums etc but I cannot imagine that’s the difference.

That's why I said just 1 of Meyer and McCarthy (linked with Celtic) will remain. I don't see Palace paying both those players, but we'll see. Maybe Schlupp gets to be left back this season if Riedewald plays cemtral midfielder and Roy thinks the youngster backup for PVA can't cut it yet. But I doubt Roy has ever played Schlupp as left back.

If this remains the team and Zaha is replaced with Brewster, then I don't see us escaping relegation. Batshuayi will not have great service, Jordan has played his best season last year, don't know how often he can replicate that, Eze and Brewster are waay too young to keep up continuity an entire season. Can't really see Townsend or Benteke bouncing back 180 degrees from their current form. IF Zaha remains, then the team is in the fight and has chances. If he goes and the replacements for this season are Bats, Eze and Brewster for Zaha, Wickham and maybe Meyer, then it's not a good window.

They have both completed seasons in the very competitive Championship and are young sought after prospects. I am baffled because you always give names of young players who have never played in England, as being the ideal signings for Palace. IMO there is no reason why Ayew will not replicate last seasons form

Apparently this chap is very accurate with his information. Seems to confirm Dazza was correct: Attachment: CF05430B-B502-4B98-8982-1C2841814925.jpeg (93.91Kb)

Have a few more but this is most interesting. Apparently our main striker target got too expensive ( Watkins?) and we couldn’t get another as it appeared it would drag on and too risky to wait Attachment: 9ACAE5A3-898D-4F8E-9984-F632723F3782.jpeg (65.02Kb)

I think there are always fears of relegation, however we hardly had a fully firing Zaha last season. Sulked for at least half the season and tried not to get injured the rest of it. We still survived despite a horrific end of season run. Once again, it will be a dogfight in the bottom half of the table. Though expect Fulham, West Brom to go back straight back down, with one other place to be settled.
