If we do get another hung parliament, with Remainers again sabotaging the democratic referendum vote, we are in for very hard times indeed with business confidence completely shot and the public disillusioned with MPs and Parliament in general. I can imagine 'the silent majority' so exasperated that violence will erupt and anarchy stalking our streets. I am a Tory but would rather have Corbyn in charge than For all his many faults true democrats must pray Johnson gains a working majority, Brexit is out of the way and we can concentrate on the pressing needs of the NHS, social care and continuing high employment. Make that 12 weeks.....

Why would you want to tactically vote out a party rather than vote for who you want? It bemuses me.. looking at the state that the country is in, many people want to try to get the tories out however possible. The first past the post voting system means that most seats can only be realistically contested by 2 parties. This means that in many cases, when your favoured party is not 1 of the 2 main competitors for a seat, a vote for your party will not make any difference in stopping the party that you don't want winning. Therefore, it is a good idea to vote tactically to get the result you want! hope i have explained clearly

The figures being quoted have been 50,000 and 31,000 the difference of which is 19,000. It has been estimated that some 19,000 would leave the NHS but for the additional funding pledged by the Conservatives. the issue is that tories are claiming that there will be 50,000 MORE nurses, when 19,000 of those counted in this number are ALREADY nurses. it doesn't take a genius to work out that this is a lie.

I was a Labour remainer. I'd rather have a decision on Brexit. It's been proven that a hung parliament won't do that. Labour want to renegotiate a deal that's taken 3 years (they say it will take 6 months - heard that before) and to have another referendum. Their entire term will be based around Brexit. Corbyn failed to convince his constituents to remain. He lost an election against May when the Tories took us out of the EU, crashed the pound, wanted to take peoples houses away to pay for care and bring back fox hunting. I cant believe he's still in charge. His supporters say they hate the Tories more than anything else, but have handed them Power for 8 years! The champagne socialist also forget that a points based entry system will protect people in low skilled jobs, slow down house prices, and reduce pressure on services. Don't you love when Lefties try to claim the moral high ground on lying? Tell me you are just being partisan. Tell me you don't really think Labour tell the truth about the NHS.

Each to his own I suppose but I am not a fan of tactical voting as it tends to be negative e.g. stop Boris / Corbyn. I'm going to vote tactically. I want the Conservatives to win so I'm going to vote Conservative. You can't get more tactical than that

To be fair maple...its the lack of funding in Social care that's the real reason. The lack of funding in NHS pales into insignificance compared to the way that Adult Social care in Local Authorities has been treated and viewed by multiple governments. The one thing that I don't think has been mentioned so far in all discussions about healthcare costs is the change in lifestyle in recent decades. Once upon a time we used to look after our old people but nowadays they are viewed as a burden and chucked out as being someone else's problem.

We leave by the end of January. And fingers cross leave without a deal by the end of 2020. But there will be progress. One less star on that s***ty flag. Our MEP's back home. What do Labour offer us? Another referendum before the first has been implemented? With no real Leave option? Oh and EU citizens and kids voting in it. Yes, that solves everything. That will unify the country. It is a recipie for utter calamity. I get why many of you loathe Johnson. I really do. No love for him myself and I suspect that although I will cast my vote for the Tories tomorrow if we do leave the EU I suspect it will be the last time ever. But Corbyn as PM? Seriously? A man who gave succor to the IRA at the time it was trying to kill people on British streets? Who proclaims people like Hammas as friends? With that other w***er McDonnell by his side? And even bigger scumbag in my opinion and by far the more dangerous. Once Brexit is achieved then I am bowing out of all political discourse for a long long time. Cut ties with a lot of people who I have known for decades over it and suspect that those friendships will never be rekindled. Nobody will emerge from this unbloodied but so far it has been jaw-jaw. Painful yes but better than the alternatives. We don't leave and then I fear the worse because democracy will have been fatally undermined in this country. Our current political class, of all shades, are wretched. They really are. But we also all have to look in the mirror and ask what part we played in it as well. How vitriolic many of us have become, how dismissive of others point of views, how entrenched we have become. And for who? A political class that have shown zero true leadership or respect for the very basics of our democratic process? Wondering was it you who called a friendship because you didnt agree their ideas on why remain was better, or are you now a racist bigoted know nothing and they called your friendship.

Good point maybe we should tell the younger generation that it's their responsibility to look after us oldies so where moving into the spare room? I must confess if my dad asked to move in with me he get no joy.

As I have stated, I had no problem with anybody who wanted to remain in the EU. Some valid arguments were made. But once that result was in on June 23rd, the issue should have been settled. And once it is, if people wish to campaign/support our rejoining then once again, best of British to them. That is how democracy works. It is the failure to accept the result that is an issue that makes me reassess how I see others. But my racist bigotted tendencies are a factor. Always willing to concede that. Throw in my dislike of pets, my almost black as the hole in my arse sense of humour and a propensity for being a contrary arsehole at the best of times and yes, it is easy to understand why others might regard me as poor friendship material. Still it happens. What can you do?
