It'll get put back season by season until the enevitable relegation which will act as sufficient excuse to openly postpone the development indefinitely.

Moving to another bit of land would have been easier but those options have been exuausted .

Likes to focus on something for a while then loses interest. New passing style of play anyone? Dragons den anyone? He also likes a 180 after an ill thought out initial position. Block E seating anyone? Being like Swansea anyone? The club is run in a fairly amateurish way generally, and actually getting a new shiny stadium built is a bit grown up for Steve.

Not quite. Parish has already said that the timescale has slipped and that no work will be starting this summer and that there are problems with agreeing payments for the infrastructure changes required by the council. There are NO empty houses either. The clever money is on it never happening as currently planned.

Troll or humongous idiot? HOL poll... He's more likely to be correct that those who still believe in Parish's pie-in-the-sky.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Stadium plans' by bexleydave The initial plans for Tottenhams changes were proposed in 2007. Planning was not submitted until 2009 and the first ground was broken in 2015. There were lots of hurdles and I suspect there are here, as well. Having said that, I recall seeing some smashing plans for a stadium in Crystal Palace Park, once upon a time....... My view is that, having announced it in a pretty sizeable blaze of publicity, it would be nice to be kept abreast of the current position. Whilst I accept that, to the club, we are simply paying customers, to my mind football fans are more than that as we have a longer term investment (season tickets), as well as a strong emotional attachment and tie. (We’re not Brighton fans, so we don’t support another EPL team = that we can turn to when our club upsets us).

This post has been merged from a topic called 'new stadium' by bexleydave Troll or humongous idiot? HOL poll... Parish does flip flop a lot, has the wrong and inexperienced people around him, probably because he’s difficult to work with, which opens up trust issues, which leads to him recruiting and having ‘loyal’ (Freedman hmm) and inexperienced people around him. The club is run amateurishly, although with Parish prepared to cut a bad manager and repair a repeat x5 and with a bit of luck, hamstringing ourselves in future transfer windows and Prem capable squads of 16 we’re still in this division. This is too big for Steve, but what I’m most unimpressed by is that it isn’t for the Americans, yet we look like we’re waiting to be bought out, which is what I’m hoping for going by the evidence we’ve seen.
