The Conservatives are dead and buried, as things stand. If she is allowed to go to Brussels next week and request an extension then they are finished. They have to act and they have to act in the next 24 hours. Her proposal needs to be nipped in the bud or else it is over for them. Corbyn must be laughing his head off at the moment. He gets to be the saviour of Brexit whilst as the same time effectively keeping us in all of its institutions as rule takers. Soft Brexit is nothing but s***e Brexit. We actually are better off remaining inside. No two ways about it. What on earth is the mental old cow playing out? Beyond comprehension. Better to take a risk in a GE, playing the no-deal card then allow what is about to happen play out. Theresa May has said that she will go after we leave the EU and before the next round of talks. The end is nigh and I and many of my Tory chums can look forward to a Brexiteer leader of the party. I have already been contacted by local Brexiteers who are hyperventilating at the announcement. The brexit people voted for was a fallacy that was never going to be achievable. People like you who pushed that message are responsible for this mess.

After Gove's speech basically assassinating Corbyn before MV2 (I think) she is now jumping into bed with him looking for him to lead her to the light. On and on it goes. She will not give up her deal, perhaps ever. MV10, MV100....on and on.

The great irony of all of this is that the best chance of a hard Brexit at this point is one of the 27 remaining EU nations refusing to grant an extension. The party of Brexit, who offered a vote specifically about leaving the EU, aren't even willing to do so. Rees-Mogg, Johnson and company, have proved much more capable of rallying the troops than leading them. If you believe something, you stand for it. This dithering and political positioning is partly to blame for May even being leader to begin with. I doubt don't her desire to get a deal, but she shouldn't have been in a position to lead these negotiations to begin with.

Blaming Labour for this mess that was instigated by the Conservatives and has been entirely mismanaged by the Conservatives just shows the depths to which your party has sunk.

The conservative need no assistance whatsoever in creating chaos, Willo! Your Tory party is being ripped apart as we speak, how many conservatives signed that "no deal" letter? What are they thinking now, May finally showed her hand on no deal - she is not up for it. This is a huge moment for your party and it remains to be seen just how much blood will be spilled once the red lines go and the customs union comes in.

If anything I'd say that Corbyn is less pro EU than May, it's just that his party isn't. It's a weird time, and if anything May should've either adopted a no compromise hard Brexit position to begin with, or brought all parties into the fold to thrash something out.

For avoidance of doubt, I am NOT a spokesman for the Conservative Party. I have been fervently opposed to the May deal.At the end of the day I am an ERG type who holds the likes of Jacob Rees-Mogg etc etc in high regard.I would have been happy with 'No deal'. Point I was making is that Labour would have opposed ANY deal and have just played party politics in order to create chaos to precipitate a General Election. It is the Labour Party who have sunk to the depths and I am totally disgusted that May is turning to Corbyn to try and help the impasse. Enough from me on this for the time being.I am about to go out and meet my Tory brexiteer chums who have got faces as long as a beaten favourite. At the end of the day I am only getting more irate as I partake in this debate so it is best for my blood pressure that I have a braek from it.

I wouldn't worry too much. Labour have been in pretty much shambles since Cameron announced the referendum. They've done what British politicians do best and not committed for anything. If they strongly backed remain we might have seen a different referendum result. If they backed leave their would have been a decisive result. I'm not sure what he's going to do. Propping up the Tories would be unpopular with Labour voter, as would delaying brexit, forcing a second vote or a general election would be very unpopular. The main issue with the entire Brexit process is that politicians need to commit to something. Or entire system is based on weasiling out of taking responsibility.
