This is about Muslims and that’s it. Palestinians are Muslim so Muslims see them as brothers. You and me and all the idiots out marching who arn’t Muslim will be next after the Jews. All the sympathy in the world will not save any of you. The nice Muslims now will soon choose a different side for survival. It won’t be your side either. I must admit it did make me laugh listening to Sunak give his 'don't be extremist' speech, outside of Downing Street after Galloway won...democratically (unlike Sunak being installed as leader). I was laughing because the same party that has let in millions of Muslims now continually appeals and worries about extremism....Errrr...that's your fault Mister, anyone who knows history or looks around the world can see what happens. Blaming others for their decisions in power seems to be a defining feature of social/neo liberals.

No one has "let in" millions of Muslims! We don't discriminate because of religious belief, or lack of one. We have a visa system and also grant access to those with a genuine claim to asylum. If either is being abused it's the abuse that needs improving and not the system. I think it's also worth a reminder about how our democratic system actually works. We elect our MPs. We don't elect our Prime Ministers. Our MPs choose who they have confidence in to form a government. What's undemocratic is a Party selecting a new PM after one has been forced to resign because they have lost the confidence of the MPs. Whilst technically the MPs still retain the decision there is an expectation that the Party's decision, however reached, will be honoured. If that depends on the opinions of a small group of active members then that's not reflecting the democratic wishes of the nation. In my opinion it's the MPs alone who should make the decision.

Removing religious influence from our schools is the complete opposite of extremism. It would ensure every youngster got taught tolerance and respect for others. Allowing religious influence in our schools is to introduce the possibility of extremism being taught. It is not banning religion or the right of parents to teach their own children religion. It's ensuring it is done in the proper place, which is at home or in places of worship.

Extremist implies Christian schools don't teach respect and tolerance. I think we can tell he certainly didn't go to a Christian school. Edited by Stirlingsays (20 Mar 2024 5.48pm)

I'd wish she would shut up. She asks a question and doesn't let him answer as she doesn't like what he is saying. Terrible interview technique.
