It is easy to forget the NI situation before the Good Friday agreement. Like it or not NI has been stable - their people are much more prosperous, really we don't want to take any risks at all here.
We have essentially given up Northern Ireland and are allowing Catholics to build up populations in unionist areas......which essentially will end unionism.

Video describing the hypocrisy and agenda of the UK media on how they report on Robinson. Oh....and when you watch the video.....you'll understand how the reported death of John Lennon....was actually just one big scam.....He went onto Youtube. Edited by Stirlingsays (14 Oct 2018 3.40pm)

And at some point they robbed it from someone else....at what point does blood and soil changeover? We either put a line and in the sand and say this is British and mean it and limit the integration of those who would vote for a united Ireland.....Or we pull that line away and say it is Irish and say to the unionists....come home. I would prefer the first but accept the second. What we don't do.....Well no...no what we actually did do.....Is implicitly say, 'this is British'....but we are going to change all the systems to include the catholics and increase their demographics in NI.... until they have effectively colonized it and made it Irish in fifty years......then we shuffle away like cowards. I don't like lying to people.....That's what the UK did to the unionists......with plausible deniability...like the true cowards do. Edited by Stirlingsays (14 Oct 2018 4.59pm)

Edited by Stirlingsays (14 Oct 2018 4.59pm) If history tells us anything it is that Ireland must solves its problems through democratic means. Ask someone from Eire would they like a united Ireland and they will probably say yes. Ask the same person how they would feel if this was against the wishes of the north and you might get a different answer. Even if the north democratically votes for a united Ireland rather like the remainers you would still have a sizable number of people who will oppose it and not accept it. Eire was largely unscathed during the recent troubles but if the protestants turn to violence I fear it would lead to yet another bloody civil war on that island even worse than the recent troubles.

Democracy without strict immigration means you lose your country. Japan knew that.....They have a higher GDP than us yet kept their nation. In a hundred years time Japan will still be Japanese. In a hundred years time England will only be part English. In longer time scales I doubt the name England will even be seen as an accurate description. Edited by Stirlingsays (14 Oct 2018 8.14pm)

not sure about the relevance of Ulster to Tommy R. except of course that civil strife begets civil strife and that at best, its best avoided at nearly all costs. Places like Luton in 2018 are not a role model of how best to run a laizzez-faire society. Without policy, chaos can ensue.
