But if she threw in a week in Spain with a few fry ups I might peep at it......and then still vote no. Voting 'no' is all the rage. Half a loaf mate. Its likely going to be up against a customs union, or remain. i.e. May's deal will be the closest thing you will get. No deal wont be an option. So you would abstain?

That's what I want now. The EU's 'punishment' mindset has kind of killed any desire for compromise from me. I want what they think I fear. It's the appeasers who are obsessed with bending their knees not me. I'm never going to do it. Unless like I say....I get that week in Spain....with the fry ups.

I dont think no deal will be on there honestly, but perhaps it would be. Reading the tea leaves I think May's deal is just about the hardest brexit you are going to ever get at this stage.

Incredible to think that the most learned and intelligent decision makers in the land with the full benefit of facts and implications, with debate after debate and many votes cannot decide what's best for our country yet ordinary people were supposed to have made the ultimate decision 3 years ago before all this. How on earth can we say that mandate in 2016 is a true reflection of how this country wants to go forward? Fair comment. At the time I was arguing that you'd only be replacing one bunch of b****** politicians with another. My contempt for all politicians is equal regardless of parliament, party, or schooling. Let's face it, the EU is a nice idea that's badly run, the UK parliament inst great either, and the parties are all split but unwilling to break party lines to come to an agreement. The mandate has however been made, regardless of it being a good decision or not. I don't think a peoples vote would be helpful to anyone. Just getting people to vote on the same thing repeatedly is not guaranteed to change the result but is guaranteed to cause outrage. Labour can't agree on if they want a peoples vote or not, but it will go down badly with constituencies that voted leave. Jacob RM has said he wants a peoples vote yet is continually cited as a posh out of touch Tory by the peoples vote campaign. We've reached a point where political parties are in far to much of a mess to be partisan over this issue.

The investment bank made millions by helping to hide the true extent of the debt, and in the process almost doubled it.' [Link] These are the bankers you are fighting for. Incredible. How am I fighting for a bank? A bank behaving as a bank does, to speculate. You're using this 18 year old story to discredit a recent analysis on UK financial health? What are the numbers you disagree with? since you voted leave for reasons relating to crony capitalism, what is the Conservative policy for financial regulation post brexit you voted for? One presumes this would be more stringent than the current EU legislation we are currently bound by?

The negotiation has been a nonsense designed to avoid a proper Brexit. The EU were never going to give us what Leavers want and keep the perks. Labour MP's are now holding up that process for their own sake.

My word you are very small minded arent you? There are no benefits to a diverse society in your blinkered view? I give up, pointless discussion. Move on.

There may well be benefits to a diverse society but the problem in London is that there are lots of diverse societies who remain entirely separate.

One presumes this would be more stringent than the current EU legislation we are currently bound by? We're specifically talking about Goldman Sachs and the EU. How corrupt they both are and that you support this. You clearly support crony capitalism which is rife across the EU. Why are you bringing the Tories into it? They cannot overpower the EU. 18 years? What are you on about. Barasso is currently at the bank and the bank still lobbies the EU hard. Edited by Penge Eagle (01 Apr 2019 7.51pm)
