The Sun is claiming ,through Alan Nixon, that we'll make one more effort to get Gallagher before the end of the window. Pathetic attempt from the club to get fans hopes up, send out the Gallagher/AWB stories, add in a couple of fake 25-30m bids for players late on like sarr, sow etc then cue beaky saying how tough the window is, no deals to be done.

[Link] Breaking news Steve Parish had dug around the sofa and found 2 one pound coins and a stale mint. We have bid £30m for CG on the never never and will pay the full amount after we have won the PL for the 2nd time and he gets his 100th cap for England.

We were better in Roy's early days than we've been under Vieira, at least back then we knew how to defend as well as go forward, had energy, this current squad look so undercooked I’m pretty sure Roy wouldn’t have tried playing Eze and Olise together. They offer very little out of possession. And a big part of our current problems on the pitch. But then you look at the squad and there aren’t too many viable alternatives

PV has a far better squad than Roy ever Had, He is the worst type of manager we could have, inflexible, close-minded, soft, inexperienced, i would rather have Derry and Paddy in charge, with McArthur as Coach, they would put some steel and organisation in the team, look at the league position in 10 games. And where would they get this “ steel “ from exactly ?

Roy inherited a decent squad. Subsequent seasons weren't so great and league positionally worse. Vieira, picking up the pieces and starting from scratch had the same bounce last season. "Thank f*** Roy's gone" we all chimed, "we're actually playing some decent stuff now". Second season, new challenge. little to no investment in key areas to push on and consolidate the gains made. A major shareholder who has admitted that his priorities lay with another team in his portfolio. Go figure. Parish's Palace all over.
