another game, another load of rubbish. missed a sitter. Otherwise didn't do much.
Rubbish. He did more in the first 10 minutes he was on than Bats did for the first 63. We looked much more balanced when he came on.

I agree completely, It wasn't a bloody sitter he missed, it was poxy pass out of his reach. We were a much better team with him on the pitch and I hope to see him play for the rest of the season. Zaha is a better player when Benteke is on the pitch.

Maybe we looked better With CB on, but his miss (no excuses) was just an other example of his status as main striker.

Talking about strikers Rondon missed a number of chances for the Toon yesterday it isn't all easy playing upfront as a lone striker.

CB will not be a mug and accept a transfer with 12m left on a contract that allows him to shop his 'talents' and test the foreign market in January. Unless we offer him an extension of roughly £150k pw-plus and say a £5m...ish signing-bonus he will not stay. That's cos his agent will tell clubs: "You are getting a £30m striker here for nothing, bung us half that and we will sign." Come the end of next season Steve Parish will see his £30m investment walk out the door with zero compensation coming back. No wonder Alan Pardew described CB's arrival as a: "No brainer."

Hope to see him play every minute feasible until the end of the season. Really cannot see him leaving before next season, meaning he will definitely be no.2/3 striker, so we need to allow him a chance to get his confidence back.
